Ringer Hut Co., Ltd. reopened its “Ringer Hut Saratoga Store” in the U.S. state of California, specializing in “Nagasaki Champon” noodles, on Friday, December 18, 2017, after renovation.

Ringer Hut Saratoga Store is Ringer Hut’s first overseas shop, and has been patronized by customers in Silicon Valley -- which is in the forefront of the business world -- over the past 27 years.

The company renovated the store for the first time since its opening in order to improve services for its customers.

As a result of the renovation, the shop has been transformed into a clean space filled with Japanese flavor. Noodles used for Nagasaki Champon and other dishes served at Ringer Hut Saratoga Store are replaced by Ringer Hut’s original noodles imported directly from Japan so that local customers can enjoy the taste that the company has pursued for many years. Furthermore, organically grown (*) cabbages, bean sprouts, carrots, onions and green onions are used for noodles served at the shop to ensure food safety, just as the company has done in Japan. This is largely because these kinds of vegetables that are organically grown can be supplied stably.
(*) Other types of vegetables that are not grown organically are also used.

Ringer Hut now has a total of 16 stores in 6 countries/regions: 5 in the U.S. (including 1 ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU, 1 SOBAYA); 5 in Thailand (including 1 Tonkatsu HAMAKATSU), 2 each in Hong Kong and Indonesia, and 1 each in Taiwan and Cambodia. Ringer Hut Co., Ltd. opened the Ringer Hut Century Plaza Sukhumvit Store in Bangkok, its fifth store in Thailand for the company’s Nagasaki Champon (noodle) specialty restaurant chain Ringer Hut, on Friday, December 1, 2017, inside Century The Movie Plaza, a newly opened shopping center.

The area around On Nut, where Century The Movie Plaza is located, has seen an increase in high-rise condominium complexes in recent years, together with a sudden jump in the number of primarily single Japanese and Westerners living there. As a result, the number of Japanese restaurants in the area has grown, leading to more and more people having interest in Japanese food. The new Century Plaza Sukhumvit Store will meet this local need by offering a menu that includes a “donburi” rice bowl and a “rice set” menu, in addition to Nagasaki Champon.

With the opening of this store, Ringer Hut now has a total of 16 stores in 6 countries: 5 in the U.S. (including 1 ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU); 5 in Thailand (including 1 Tonkatsu HAMAKATSU), 2 each in Hong Kong and Indonesia, and 1 each in Taiwan and Cambodia. Ringer Hut Co., Ltd. opened its fourth Hawaii location of the Japanese soba noodle shop “Ringer Hut SOBAYA LANAI” in the U.S. island’s largest shopping center, the Ala Moana Center, on Friday, October 27, 2017. Located in the new gourmet dining area, “The Lanai @ Ala Moana,” the latest outlet follows three Ringer Hut shops and one ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU location.

The “Ringer Hut SOBAYA LANAI” is a shop specializing in Japanese soba noodles. As a company, Ringer Hut operates both “Nagasaki Champon Ringer Hut” and Japanese restaurant “ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU” in Hawaii. It decided to open a Japanese soba noodle shop with the desire to let people enjoy genuine Japanese cuisine more casually.

To re-create genuine Japanese soba noodles in Hawaii, Ringer Hut uses proprietary “Original Nama (fresh) Noodles,” and for the soup it uses a special kind of dashi (broth) that has been honed and perfected through Japanese-style cooking techniques at its ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU restaurant and that perfectly matches up with the Original Nama Noodles. In addition, Ringer Hut serves freshly fried “Big Shrimp Tempura” and “Kakiage” on genuine Japanese soba, which it has taken special care to make them so big that they are sure to cause an impact, with the knowhow the company has gained through experience at its ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU restaurant.

The opening of the latest location has brought the total number of Ringer Hut outlets in the United States to five (one of which is ROKKAKU HAMAKATSU), in addition to four in Thailand (one of which is HAMAKATSU), two in Hong Kong, two in Indonesia, and one each in Taiwan and Cambodia for a total of 15 shops in six countries/regions. In addition, the new location is managed by a local subsidiary, Ringer Hut Hawaii Inc. Ringer Hut Co., Ltd., the famous Nagasaki Champon specialty restaurant chain, opened its first outlet in Cambodia in the Aeon Mall Phnom Penh Store on Friday, September 8.

The Aeon Mall Phnom Penh is the first and largest shopping mall in Cambodia. It has stores operated by sophisticated tenants, offering local residents a new type of lifestyle. Along that line, the goal of the Ringer Hut Aeon Mall Phnom Penh Store is to offer customers in Cambodia with a novel menu featuring Nagasaki Champon and Nagasaki Saraudon from Japan.

Ringer Hut Co., Ltd., based in Tokyo's Shinagawa district, will open Ringer Hut Citywalk restaurant in Jakarta, its first outlet in the Republic of Indonesia, on Thursday, December 15, 2016.

The Citywalk restaurant will feature a chicken-based "Nagasaki Champon" noodle meal, which will be the first such dish to be offered by Ringer Hut. In addition to Nagasaki Champon and "Sara Udon" noodles, the menu will offer more to choose from and include items where customers will be able to choose between chicken and other meat. They will also be able to choose between noodles imported directly from Japan and local noodles.

The Ringer Hut Group currently has a total of 11 restaurants abroad: four each in the United States and in Thailand and three in Hong Kong, making the new establishment in Indonesia its 12th restaurant in four overseas countries. The restaurant will be operated by Ringer Hut Indonesia in Jakarta, a subsidiary established in 2016 for conducting business in Indonesia.
