FOOMA JAPAN (International Food Machinery & Technology Exhibition) is a comprehensive trade show on food machinery and food-processing technology that attracts exhibitors from all fields involved in the food-manufacturing process, right from treatment of raw ingredients to packaging and distribution, with a focus on food-manufacturing and processing machinery.

This annual event, with a long history and tradition, celebrates its 42nd anniversary this year. The exhibition is the largest in Asia. Over 100,000 visitors from Japan and abroad are expected to attend the event in pursuit of excellent Japanese food-manufacturing and processing machinery.

All Food-related Technologies, from Japan to the World
FOOMA JAPAN provides one-stop access to cutting-edge products, technologies, services and information related to food. It covers all food-related technologies, including food-processing technology, technology related to safety and hygiene, and technology related to energy-saving and the environment, necessary to improve production, efficiency and quality.

This year, FOOMA JAPAN has added a new field for “engineering, robotics and IoT.” Through it, FOOMA JAPAN will seek to propose advanced solutions to a wide range of issues, such as automation of the production process using robot systems for food manufacturing or IoT technology to share and leverage information by connecting various products to the network.

Visitors can watch, touch and taste products during the various demonstrations as if they are visiting food-manufacturing factories or watching machinery that manufactures Japanese food such as sushi or noodles, which are popular in other countries across the world. This can be expected to help in providing better solutions to issues related to food manufacturing and processing.

Warm support for international visitors at the venue
FOOMA JAPAN will also provide various services for international visitors. At the venue, exhibiting company members who speak English, Chinese, Korean and other foreign languages will be wearing a “bilingual badge” on their chest. English, Chinese and Korean language staff present at the “Information” counter will answer visitors’ queries.

FOOMA JAPAN (International Food Machinery & Technology Exhibition), will organize the largest trade show in Asia for food technologies -- FOOMA JAPAN 2018 -- at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo from Tuesday, June 12, to Friday, June 15, 2018.

The exhibition will bring together companies from all the fields of food production processes -- from raw material processing to packaging and logistics with a focus on food production and processing machinery -- to form a comprehensive trade show of food machinery and food-processing technology.

This annual exhibition, which has a long history and tradition, marks its 41st show this year. More than 700 companies will be exhibiting at this huge-scale trade show, one of the largest in Asia. More than 100,000 people will attend the exhibition from Japan and abroad, seeking Japan's excellent food-manufacturing and processing machinery.

FOOMA JAPAN 2018 brings together cutting-edge products, technologies, services and information related to food under the theme of "Food Technology Unlimited." It covers all food-related technologies such as food-processing technology, safety and hygiene technology, energy conservation and environment technology for productivity improvement, greater efficiency, and better quality.

You can expect further improvements in your food-manufacturing and processing issues by watching demonstrations, touching and tasting, just as if you were at a food factory. The International Food Machinery & Technology Exhibition (FOOMA JAPAN), a comprehensive trade show for food machinery and food-processing technologies, will be held from June 13 (Tue.) to 16 (Fri.), 2017, in Tokyo, this time with further expanding its exhibition area to roughly 15,000 square meters. It brings together exhibiting companies in all fields of the food manufacturing process, from raw material processing to packaging and distribution, focused on food manufacturing and processing machinery. This year marks the 40th anniversary of this annual exhibition that has a long history and tradition in Japan. FOOMA JAPAN 2017 will bring together cutting-edge products, technologies, services and information on the theme of "The Compass for the Future of Food." It will feature world-renowned, cutting-edge food-processing technologies from Japan that boost production efficiency and quality, as well as technologies related to safety and health, energy conservation, and the environment. Visitors can also view and interact with many real machinery demonstrations that closely resemble foodstuff factories and also sample foods.
