For nearly 50 years, Atelier Seiran has been based in Tokushima, one of Japan’s leading indigo-producing regions, cultivating a distinctive artistic practice centered on Awa Ai (Awa indigo). Founded in 1970 by artist Yoko Hashimoto, the Atelier emerged at a time when synthetic dyes threatened traditional crafts. Through the development of a unique wax-resist technique, Atelier Seiran has redefined indigo dyeing as a contemporary artistic language that transcends the boundaries of craft.

The exhibition at Palazzo Dona dalle Rose explores the creative potential of cultural and historical "fissures." In response, Atelier Seiran’s "The Root of Life" engages with this concept, evoking a primordial realm where nature, time, and life converge through the deep blues of Awa Ai.

A highlight of the presentation is a joint exhibition with Cameroonian artist Serge Mouangue. This collaboration explores shared expressions of life and vitality across cultures, bringing Cameroonian symbolic traditions into dialogue with the cyclical and nature-based philosophy embodied in Awa Ai.

Participating artists include Yoko Hashimoto, Hatsuko Ukigawa, and Kiyoko Hashimoto. Their works, exhibited internationally at venues such as Le Salon in Paris, bridge tradition and innovation across art and technology.

The smart ring market has seen rapid growth in recent years. However, for extremely small ring-shaped devices worn on the finger, wired charging is impractical, while the conventional Qi wireless charging standard is difficult to implement due to constraints such as coil size.

In response, NFC-based charging, which operates at the high-frequency 13.56MHz band that enables antenna miniaturization, is attracting increased attention, with adoption accelerating in next-generation wearables.

This new chipset builds on the proven receiver (ML7660) and transmitter (ML7661). The maximum power transfer is specified at 250mW, while peripheral components such as the switching MOSFETs required to supply power to the charging IC are built in. The result is a solution optimized for both mounting area and power transfer efficiency in the power class demanded by compact wearable devices.

The ML7670 power receiver IC achieves a maximum power transfer efficiency of 45% in the 250mW low output range -- all in an industry-leading form factor of just 2.28 x 2.56 x 0.48mm. What's more, all firmware required for wireless power delivery is embedded directly within the IC, eliminating the need for a host MCU.

Compliance with NFC Forum (WLC 2.0) enables power transfer while maintaining compatibility with existing devices, positioning the chipset as a core element in the expanding NFC wireless power ecosystem.

The new chipset is already in mass production. Furthermore, it has been adopted in SOXAI RING 2, the latest model launched on December 10, 2025, by SOXAI Inc., the Japanese developer and distributor of the original sleep-monitoring ring SOXAI RING.

Violet 402 nm laser diodes generally face relatively low wall-plug efficiency (WPE), self-heating, and short wavelength-induced degradation, limiting stable high-power operation. To address these challenges, the "device structure that enhances WPE" and the "high thermal conduction package technology that effectively dissipates heat," used in the high-power ultraviolet laser diode announced in January 2026, were expanded to the violet band. As a result, NTCJ is launching a high-power violet laser diode achieving 1.5 times the optical output of NTCJ's conventional product, with improved lifetime at high-power operation and enhanced heat dissipation, contributing to higher production throughput in industrial optical equipment.

This product delivers significant value in maskless lithography for advanced semiconductor packaging, a rapidly growing market driven by AI demand. Maskless lithography directly exposes wiring patterns from design data, reducing cost and development time while enabling high-precision correction of substrate warpage and distortion. Laser diodes are increasingly required to support wavelengths close to the mercury lamp i-line 365 nm and h-line 405 nm, and higher optical output to improve throughput. Following the 379 nm, 1.0 W high-power ultraviolet laser diode for i-line applications announced in January 2026, NTCJ is adding a 402 nm, 4.5 W high-power violet laser diode for h-line applications, strengthening its maskless lithography light source lineup to support multiple major photosensitive materials and higher throughput.

Under the new structure, J-Tour will work in close collaboration with the Nippon Sangyo Suishin Kiko Group (NSSK), leveraging NSSK's expertise in investment and management support to enhance the overall value and sustainability of the Japan men’s professional golf tours. １. About the 9th High-Level Panel on ESG Finance
　The Ministry of the Environment of Japan established the High-Level Panel on ESG Finance, based on the recommendations of the High-Level Meeting on ESG Finance (July 2018), as a forum for leaders from the finance and investment sectors and the government to work together to discuss and take action to promote awareness and initiatives related to ESG finance. The Panel has also regularly monitored progress in initiatives aligned with these recommendations.
　At this 9th session, discussions were held from multiple perspectives regarding developments following the Declaration on Financial Action for Building a Green Economy System, adopted at the 8th session, and on deepening ESG finance.

２. Session report
　In his opening remarks, Minister of the Environment ISHIHARA Hirotaka emphasized that despite rapidly changing domestic and international trends surrounding environmental policy, Japan will steadily advance its efforts toward achieving net zero emissions by 2050. He further highlighted that coexistence with local communities is a fundamental prerequisite for maximizing renewable energy deployment and that the national government will refrain from procuring renewable energy from power generation companies that violate laws and regulations, while also expecting financial institutions to exercise prudent judgment, including strict compliance oversight, as part of their social responsibility. Furthermore, he stated that finance serves as the driving force for realizing a sustainable society, and called for intensified efforts in this regard.
　In Session 1, under the title “Progress from the Declaration on Financial Action for Building a Green Economy System” based on the content of the Sixth Basic Environment Plan, the Ministry of the Environment and the Financial Services Agency reported their initiatives to promote sustainable finance. Additionally, the Regional Banks Association of Japan delivered a presentation on the sustainability promotion initiatives undertaken by regional banks. During subsequent discussions, the panelists deliberated on enhancing regional financial capabilities and trends in ESG finance. Opinions were shared on the roles and initiatives expected of financial institutions to facilitate the adoption of ESG finance into local communities, as well as domestic corporate trends in sustainable finance.
　In Session 2, the Japanese Bankers Association, the Kyushu Economic Federation, and the Impact Startup Association introduced concrete initiatives related to the three pillars aimed at deepening ESG finance outlined in the Declaration on Financial Action for Building a Green Economic System, and discussions ensued on strategies and challenges for promoting these initiatives across a wide range of industries. During the discussion on expanding environmental finance, opinions were expressed on the role of financial institutions in achieving carbon neutrality/net zero, the importance of collaboration with industry, the necessity for efforts by asset management companies to promote sustainable finance, and the significance of each business sector in realizing a circular economy. During the discussions on green management in regional companies, opinions were expressed on the importance of fostering momentum for ESG finance through collaboration between regional financial institutions and economic organizations, as well as addressing regional issues. Furthermore, during the discussion on expanding investment in environmental startups, opinions were expressed on the current state of capital inflows to impact startups, sharing of case studies on corporate growth, and the importance of startup funding for addressing social challenges.
　In his closing remarks, State Minister for the Environment AOYAMA Shigeharu addressed recent issues related to mega-solar power projects, emphasizing the importance of impact-focused, socially responsible investments, as discussed by the panel, to ensure that environmental investments do not negatively affect local communities. Furthermore, to support such investments, he indicated that the Ministry of the Environment intends to advance initiatives in collaboration with relevant ministries and agencies.
