Outline of the 11th GATSBY CREATIVE AWARDS&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Launched in 2006, the GATSBY CREATIVE AWARDS event, now in its 11th year, has grown into one of Asia&#039;s largest video commercial competitions for students aspiring to be a professional video creator as well as entry-level students, focusing on GATSBY, the men&#039;s grooming brand from Mandom, as the subject for shooting.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The company invited students from 8 countries and regions -- Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States -- to submit their works for the 11th contest. Singapore participated for the first time. A total of 1,472 works were submitted during the application period.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Twenty-five works were selected through the first elimination process by experts and popular voting taken on the web for the final round held at Quest Hall in Harajuku, Tokyo, on January 28.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Standard CM Category Award and the Character Award went to Cho Kakkoii, a team of students from Temasek Polytechnic in Singapore, for its work capturing the craziness and fun behind magical transformation with the use of GATSBY Hairwax. The team received a total of 200,000 yen in prize money.&lt;br /&gt;

This makes the work attractive and appears to have been highly appreciated by judges. GATSBY Student CM Awards, a video contest for students held for 10 years from 2006 ahead of the current video boom, will develop into one of Asia&#039;s largest CM contests for students thanks to entries by numerous students. At a final screening committee meeting, judges evaluate submitted works, and gently and enthusiastically give advice to students who submitted their works. The event ends with an award ceremony that is quite moving.&lt;br /&gt;

- The time limit on works in the No-Editing CM Category to be lifted&lt;br /&gt;
By lifting the time limit on works to be submitted to the No-Editing CM Category, the organizer will ease restrictions on the production of works so that applicants will submit more expressive works.&lt;br /&gt;
- Prize money to be increased&lt;br /&gt;
The prize money for the grand-prize winner will be increased from 300,000 yen to 500,000 yen.&lt;br /&gt;

A South Korean team won the grand prix in Mandom Corp.&#039;s &amp;quot;GATSBY DANCE COMPETITION 8th&amp;quot; in its final round held in Tokyo on March 5. The winners of other prizes were also announced following the competition.&lt;br /&gt;

Mandom has held the annual competition since 2008 with the aim of providing young people in various Asian countries and regions with an opportunity to make their dreams and hopes come true and promote exchanges between them through dancing. This year&#039;s competition was its eighth.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This year, regional eliminations began in April 2015 in eight countries and regions -- Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand -- for local youths. It was one of the largest dance competitions in Asia with entries by 1,384 teams.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Eight teams that won regional eliminations competed over their performances for Asia&#039;s championship in the event&#039;s &amp;quot;ASIA GRAND FINAL.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Professional dancers acting as judges and spectators evaluated the eight teams&#039; performances -- not only their dancing techniques but also hairstyles and fashion sense -- in accordance with GATSBY&#039;s unique evaluation guidelines. As a result, &amp;quot;JAY &amp;amp; BEE,&amp;quot; a male duo representing South Korea, won THE GREATEST GATSBY award, the competition&#039;s grand prix, as well as an Audience award.&lt;br /&gt;

Mandom invited students of 11 countries and regions, including Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Taiwan, Thailand, the U.K. and the U.S., to apply for the company&#039;s film commercial production contest focusing on GATSBY products. A total of 1,559 works were submitted during the application period ended on November 2, 2015.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;

Since then, 26 works were selected through the first elimination process by experts and popular voting taken on the web. The representatives of the finally nominated 26 works, who were in Tokyo on January 30 for the final round, presented their works in front of the jury. Mandom Corp. of Osaka City is accepting applications until Jan. 4, 2016, for &amp;quot;GATSBY CM Award UNLIMITED&amp;quot; (hereafter UNLIMITED), a companion award to GATSBY Student CM Awards (hereafter Student CM Awards) featuring the GATSBY men&amp;quot;s grooming brand and products.&lt;br /&gt;

UNLIMITED will impose no limit on applications, such as nationality or occupation, allowing for a wider range of people to apply for the movie contest than Student CM Awards, a contest for commercial video messages for which only students of the 11 designated Asian and Western countries and regions are qualified to apply.&lt;br /&gt;

Movies of all categories will be accepted, be it a TV commercial, a short film, a drama, a product PR video or otherwise, as long as they are less than 90 seconds in length. Any movie, however, will have to feature either a GATSBY product or the GATSBY brand.&lt;br /&gt;

A total of 1,272 individuals and groups participated in the competition, making this one of the largest dance competitions in Asia. Outline of &amp;quot;GATSBY Dance Competition 5th&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;quot;GATSBY Dance Competition&amp;quot; has been held since 2008 to give Asian students opportunities to realize their dreams and wishes, and at the same time to promote exchanges through dance. This year&#039;s event was the fifth in the series.&lt;br /&gt;

Preliminaries for this year&#039;s event began in June 2012, inviting students from eight countries/regions (Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Japan) to enter the first round of competition in their own countries/ regions. A total of 1,168 individuals and groups participated in the competition, making this one of the largest dance competitions in Asia. Eight individuals/groups selected in their national preliminaries competed in the final contest, &amp;quot;ASIA GRAND FINAL.&amp;quot; They were judged by GATSBY&#039;s unique criteria: not only for their dance techniques but also for their hairstyle and fashion. With overwhelming votes, Sir Waackalot, representing Singapore, was chosen for the grand prize, &amp;quot;The Greatest GATSBY Award,&amp;quot; by judges who included professional dancers as well as foreign students studying in Japan.&lt;br /&gt;

Mandom Corp. announced on November 17 the winners of the 7th GATSBY Student CM Awards, an international student contest for producing the best video commercials featuring the company&#039;s GATSBY line of products. An award-giving ceremony was held at the Harajuku Quest Hall, Tokyo, following the final screening.&lt;br /&gt;

Mandom invited students in seven countries and regions -- Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia -- to produce and submit video commercials featuring the GATSBY products. A total of 1,066 were sent in before the time limit for application on Aug. 31, 2012.&lt;br /&gt;
