TOKYO, Sept. 6 /Kyodo JBN/ --

Beautiful candle art was produced at Zojoji temple in Tokyo on September 5, just a few days before the election of a host city for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, wishing for Tokyo's successful bid to host the Games.

The candle art was made of 2020 candles, on each of which was handwritten a message by civic runners such as "Let's host the Olympic Games in Tokyo!" and "Will definitely go to see the Olympics if Tokyo is elected."

Behind the candle art were the Tokyo Tower, an icon of Tokyo, and Zojoji, both spectacularly lit up in the five colors of the Olympics.
