Idemitsu Credit to Launch Financial Services for Agricultural Sector in Cambodia&lt;br /&gt;


Idemitsu Credit Co., Ltd. has established Idemitsu Saison Microfinance (Cambodia) Plc., a local subsidiary in Battambang, Cambodia, to launch financing services and installment payment services for commodity transactions mainly for&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;agricultural sector. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Cambodian government is modernizing agriculture, one of the country&#039;s key industries, and trying to improve the living standards of farming households as its priority policy measures. Under its rice policy unveiled in 2010, the Cambodian government set a goal of doubling the country&#039;s rice production and increasing its rice exports tenfold in five years. It is now implementing specific measures to achieve the goal. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Based on this policy, domestic companies and nongovernmental organizations are carrying out and expanding contract farming and agricultural advice, accelerating growth in the agricultural sector. &lt;br /&gt;

Under these circumstances, Idemitsu Credit Co., Ltd. has established Idemitsu Saison Microfinance (Cambodia) Plc., a local subsidiary, to meet Cambodian farmers&#039; financial needs and contribute toward improved standards of living and economic development of the country. Idemitsu Saison Microfinance (Cambodia) obtained a license of microfinance business from the National Bank of Cambodia on January 20. &lt;br /&gt;

Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. announced on Oct. 8 that it opened its Shanghai Office the same day as a base to support organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel manufacturers in China and collect information about the Chinese market. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In China, robust capital investments are being made, mainly by major liquid crystal panel manufacturers, in mass-production equipment for OLED panels that will be the next generation of displays, making the country the center of attention as a region of significant growth in the manufacture of OLED panels. Shanghai, in particular, is the country&#039;s economic and industrial hub and the largest city exceeding Beijing, attracting many panel manufacturers that have made large-scale investments in OLED panel mass-production equipment.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Against this background, Idemitsu has decided to open its Shanghai Office for OLED materials business, expecting increases in demand and sales of OLED materials due to the expansion of the industry in China. Shanghai has a well-developed transportation network that extends across the country, enabling the company to easily access OLED panel manufacturers&#039; manufacturing and R&amp;amp;D facilities in other areas of China.&lt;br /&gt;
