募集する作品は、本人制作の未発表の平面作品で、具象・抽象は問いません。応募資格は、プロアーティストを目指し、継続して制作を行う意思のある満18歳以上の方で、国籍・居住国・地域は問いません。また、学生応募者の出品料を一般応募者の半額とするなど若いアーティストを支援する内容となっています。
一次審査は作品画像審査で、応募コストの負担が少ない公募展です。
過去の受賞作品は、熱海山口美術館（熱海市渚町）アトリエにて展示しております。

■審査は「点数制」を採用し、各審査員の合計点数で評価。
多角的な評価を実現するため、各分野から招聘した美術関係者が審査をします。国際的な美術関係者に作品を評価してもらうまたとないチャンスです。

“Art Olympia 2019,” Third International Open Art Competition,
Set for 2019 in Japan
The third International Open Art Competition, “Art Olympia 2019,” will be held in Japan next year, with announcement of winners and their exhibition scheduled for June. Art Olympia, held once every two years, aims to discover talented artists and support them. Approximately 160 artworks will be selected for a final review in Tokyo by a panel of jurors invited from around the world. The 1st-place winner will receive $120,000. In addition, 160 artists will receive prize money and 1,000 artists will be honored and featured. The competition will give away a total of approximately $500,000 in cash awards and prizes for supporting artist activities.

This third Art Olympia will accept two-dimensional artworks. Acrylic, watercolor, pastel, mineral pigments, print, charcoal, digital/multimedia art, mixed media, photography, etc. will be also accepted. The maximum size is 117cm x 117cm (46 x 46 inches).

A primary review will be done using artwork images and the final review will use actual artworks. Moreover, the final review will use a point-rating system, allowing the public to check the reviewing process. With an eye to supporting young artists, Art Olympia has created a Student Category, allowing students to apply for both All-Entrants and Student Categories.

- International Jurors to Select Winning Artworks on June 7, 2017 -

Art Olympia is a new international open art competition held once in every two years. The main goals are to discover young talented artists and to support them so that their global art careers may flourish. Art Olympia will give away a total of approximately $500,000 in cash awards and prizes to 180 selected artists from all around the world.

The second Art Olympia will accept two-dimensional artworks only. This time, photographic works will be also accepted.

Artworks, submitted from all around the world, will first be reviewed at regional entry bases and then finally will be reviewed in Tokyo. Primary reviews will be done by using the images of artworks and the final review with real artworks. Moreover, the final review will use a point rating system, allowing the public to check the reviewing process to ensure fairness and transparency.

With an eye to supporting young artists, Art Olympia has created Student Category, allowing students to apply for both All-Entrants and Student Categories. A panel of jurors, comprised of experts from various fields of the international art world, provides aspiring artists with a rare chance to get their artworks reviewed by art experts except their fellow countrymen and women.

"Art Olympia 2015," 1st International Open Art Competition for Young Artists, Deadline Postponed until March 31
Art Olympia is an open art competition held as a biennial event with the goal of discovering talented artists around the world and supporting their activities. It aims to promote exchanges of the world's various cultures through arts.
Artworks of approximately 240 pieces selected from three places -- 80 pieces each in Tokyo, New York and Paris -- will undergo a final review in Tokyo by a panel of great judges invited from around the world.
Artworks in two-dimensional, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, mineral pigments, print, charcoal, and collage can be accepted.

Total value of cash and extra prizes: Approx. US$500,000.
In general category, the prize money will be $120,000 for the first place, $30,000 for the second place, and $20,000 for the third place along with trophies and a lot of benefits. In student category, $20,000 for the first place, $10,000 for the second place, and $5,000 for the third place, along with trophies and a lot of benefits. As one of the benefits for students, they will be considered to entry in both general and students categories.

Special prizes will be awarded according to the scores, and there will be also Judge Awards.
Anyone who has passion for art and whose age is 18 or older is eligible to apply for the competition.

"Art Olympia 2015," 1st International Open Art Competition for Young Artists, Set for 2015 in Japan
- International Judges Select Winning Artworks on June 10, 2015 -

In 2015, the Art Olympia Executive Committee will hold Art Olympia 2015, the first in a series of an international open art competitions aimed at discovering and supporting young talented artists. Art Olympia will be open for submissions from around the world with regional entry bases in Tokyo, New York and Paris.

The first Art Olympia will accept two-dimensional artworks only.

Artworks submitted from around the world will first be reviewed at regional entry bases and then finally reviewed in Tokyo. Primary reviews will be done with using the images of artworks and the final review with real artworks. Moreover, the final review will employ a point rating system, allowing the public to check the review process to ensure fairness and transparency.

With an eye to supporting young artists, Art Olympia has created Student Category, allowing students to apply for both Open and Student Categories. A panel of judges comprising experts from various sectors of the international art world provides aspiring artists with a rare chance to get their artworks reviewed by art experts other than their fellow countrymen and women.
