◎自動車用チューブが10億メートルを達成　　TI Automotive

【オーバンヒルズ（米ミシガン州）2012年6月6日PRN＝共同JBN】流体貯蔵・移動・分配技術の大手自動車部品供給業者であるTI Automotiveはこのほど、中国河北省秦皇島市の同社施設で累積10億メートルとなる自動車用チューブの生産を達成した。金属とプラスティックからなるチューブはTI Automotiveの主要製品で、中国の4600万台以上の自動車のブレーキと燃料システムの要となる部品である。

10億メートルのチューブを並べると、端から端までで地球を25周する長さになる。

TI Automotiveのビル・コズィラ会長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）は「流体移動システムは当社事業の中核にある。事実、当社の最初の製品は1922年のT型フォード用燃料系製品である。今回の節目は当社の伝統と技術的専門知識の明確な反映であり、自動車産業の世界的性質を確実に表明している」と語った。

TI Automotiveは1985年に中国で最初の施設を開設し、現在では5つの製品グループが13カ所にある。このうち9施設は特にブレーキと燃料系製品生産の専用となっている。TI Automotiveは、アジア太平洋地域におけるブレーキと燃料系製品の大手生産企業である。TI Automotiveはまたこの地域で、燃料タンク、燃料ポンプ、モジュール、HVACシステム、パワートレイン・システムを生産している。

TI Automotive Produces Billionth Meter of Automotive Tubing in China

    TI Automotive, a leading global supplier of fluid storage, carrying and

delivery technology, recently produced its billionth meter of automotive tubing

in China. Metal and plastic tubing is a primary TI Automotive product and a key

component of the brake and fuel systems on more than 46 million vehicles in

China.

    Stretched end-to-end, the billion meters of tubing would circle the Earth

more than 25 times.

13 locations among its five product groups, with nine sites specifically

dedicated to brake and fuel line production. The company is the leading
