◎要望のトップはカプセル型寝台　　スカイスキャナーの航空旅客調査

【シンガポール2012年6月19日PRN＝共同JBN】今年9月に東京－シンガポール間に就航する予定でその後他のアジア路線にもお目見えする新型ボーイング787ドリームライナー機は、機上体験を改善するさまざまな新機能を備えている。このニュース発表を機に、大手のフライト検索サイトであるスカイスキャナー（http://www.skyscanner.com）が行った1000人を対象とする調査によって、乗客がドリームライナーに何を期待しているかが明らかになった。

単一の項目で最も希望の多かったのはカプセルスタイルの寝台（20％）だったが、26％の人が家族旅行の乗客による騒音や騒ぎを減らしてほしいと要望、子供用の防音区画が2位で、子どもが蹴っても動かないキックプルーフ・シートが3位になった。

リラックスを求める乗客を手助けするための「マッサージチェア」は4位となり、5位は「無料iPad（アイパッド）の使用」となった。iPadの無料使用は、アジアの格安航空会社スクートがビジネスクラスの乗客にiPadを提供しているのにヒントを得たと見られる。

独身の旅行者が3万フィート上空で人と会ったり、仲良くしたり、おしゃべりしたりできるよう独身者用区画を望む人が予想外に多かった。またほぼ20人に一人が透明な床や天井を求めており、映画の上映やカクテルバーの希望者もトップ10に入っている。

スカイスキャナーのユアン・グレー・アジア太平洋担当部長は以下のように語っている。

「私は1歳児の親として一緒に、スカイスキャナーのオフィスがある英国エディンバラとシンガポールの長距離を旅行しており、子連れの旅行によって両親自身やその座席周辺の乗客が受けるストレスを良く理解できる。従って、防音区画設置やキックプルーフ・シートといった要望が上位に入ったことに驚かない。いつもエコノミーで旅行するわれわれにとっては、こうした設備が夢のままである方が残念だ」

No Noisy Children: Skyscanner Reveals Most Wanted Features of Dream Aircraft

    The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which is set to fly from Tokyo to Singapore

this September with other Asian routes to follow soon after, brings with it a

variety of new features to improve the on-board experience. Following this

news, a new survey of over 1000 passengers by leading global flight search site

Skyscanner (http://www.skyscanner.com) reveals what people actually want to

find on their dream aircraft.

    Although the single most requested feature was capsule-style bunks (taking

20% votes), 26% of people wanted facilities to reduce noise and annoyance

caused by flying families with sound-proof sections for children and kick-proof

seats taking second and third spots.

    Assisting passengers in their quest for relaxation, 'massaging chairs' took

the fourth spot followed by 'Free use of iPads', perhaps inspired by Asian

budget airline Scoot who now offer free iPad hire to Business Class customers.

    A singles section, where unattached passengers could potentially meet,

flirt and chat at 30,000 feet came surprisingly high on the list while nearly

one in 20 respondents voted for transparent floors and ceilings while an

in-flight cinema and cocktail bar also came in the top 10.

    Skyscanner's Director for Asia Pacific, Ewan Gray said:

    "As a parent, I've flown with my one-year old child long-haul between

Skyscanner's offices in Edinburgh and Singapore and can understand the stress

that travelling with children can bring for both the parents themselves and

others seated around them, and so I'm not surprised that sound-proof sections

and anti-kick seats score so highly on the list. It's just a shame that for

most of us flying economy class these luxury features will have to remain a

dream".
