【ロッテルダム（オランダ）2012年6月28日PRN＝共同JBN】フランスのセザール賞を受賞したコートジボワール生まれのイザック・ド・バンコレ（潜水服は蝶の夢を見る、カジノ・ロワイヤル）、サターン賞にノミネートされたジュリエット・ランドー（バフィー ～恋する十字架～、エド・ウッド）、米映画俳優組合（SAG）賞候補になった南アフリカの俳優、ステリオ・サヴァンテ（A Million Colours、アグリー・ベティ）が新作「Where the Road Runs Out」に出演する。オランダの映画制作会社、Firenze Film BVの作品は6月から7月にかけて、赤道ギニア（同国初の長編映画ロケ）、オランダ、南アフリカで撮影される。

「Where the Road Runs Out」では、ロッテルダムに住む評判のいい科学者兼講師ジョージ（イザック・ド・バンコレ）が学界に飽き飽きしている。ところが、アフリカで野外調査施設を管理していた古い友人が急死、それが学究の再開とアフリカのルーツ探しのきっかけになる。赤道ギニアに着いて、荒廃した野外施設を発見した。地元の少年ジミを通じて科学者の疲れ切った目は、豊かで多彩なこの地で生活する可能性に開かれる。ジミはまた、地域の孤児院を運営するコリーナ（ジュリエット・ランドー）を紹介、かりそめだが心こもるロマンスが始まる。そこに思いがけず、旧友マーティン（ステリオ・サヴァンテ）が到着し、約束を果たすまで多くの障害があることが分かる。そして、道が尽きるところにもさらに･･･。

Isaach de Bankole and Juliet Landau in new Feature Film 'Where the Road Runs Out' - Shooting Starting This Week

     Ivorian born actor and Cesar award winner Isaach De Bankole (Casino

Royale, The Diving Bell & The Butterfly), Saturn award nominee Juliet Landau

(Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Ed Wood) and South African actor and SAG nominee

Stelio Savante (A Million Colours, Ugly Betty), are starring in the new feature

film, 'Where the Road Runs Out'.  The film is brought to the screen by Dutch

production company Firenze Film BV, and shoots on location in Equatorial Guinea

(the first feature film to do so), The Netherlands and South Africa through

June and July.

    In 'Where the Road Runs Out' a Rotterdam based respected scientist and

lecturer (Isaach De Bankole) has grown weary of the world of academia. The

sudden death of an old friend who has been running a field research station in

Africa gives him the incentive he needs to turn his back on his academia and

return to his African roots. Arriving in Equatorial Guinea he finds the field

station in a state of disrepair. Through a local boy Jimi, his jaded eyes are

opened to the possibilities of life in this rich and colorful place. Jimi also

introduces him to Corina (Juliet Landau) who runs the local orphanage and a

tentative but heartfelt romance begins. With the unexpected arrival of George's

old friend Martin (Stelio Savante), George discovers there are many obstacles

on the road to redemption...and many more where the road runs out.
