◎アルパインがBMW車載用にTuxeraファイルシステムの導入決定

【ヘルシンキ2012年9月19日PRN=共同JBN】BMW iDriveのSD/SDXC やUSBのコネクティビティー機能が増強－Android、Linux、QNX、Windows Automotiveなどのプラットフォーム向け相互運用ファイルシステムとコネクティビティーソフトウエアで業界トップのTuxera Inc.は19日、アルパイン（Alpine Electronics Inc.）がSD/SDXCおよびUSBデータストレージと車載用インフォテインメントシステム間のシームレスな運用を可能にするため、Tuxeraが提供するファイルシステムの導入を決定したと発表した。車載用インフォテインメント産業に新しいイノベーションをもたらすことで知られるアルパイン社製のBMW iDriveシステムの中に、今後、Tuxeraのファイルシステムが組み込まれて出荷される。

Tuxeraのテクノロジーは、ナビゲーションおよびメディアストレージを車載用インフォテインメント（IVI）システムに接続する。近年、次世代SDXCカードは、地図をはじめとするナビゲーションデータの容量が急増することで要求が高まっている。またユーザーがUSBハードドライブやメモリースティックで持ち運ぶビデオやその他のメディアファイルの数と容量は拡大し続けている。Tuxeraのソリューションは、最高品質の要求が課せられるこのような大容量ストレージに特に最適である。
