スペインのバルセロナ、2012年9月19日、RADデータ・コミュニケーションズ社は、バルセロナで開催されたCarrier Ethernet World Congressにおいて、名誉あるキャリア・イーサネット賞を2年連続で受賞しました。

先日発表されたRADのETX-5300Aイーサネット・サービス・サービス・アグリゲーション･プラットフォームがEMEA市場で最高のキャリア・イーサネット・アグリゲーション・プロダクトとして表彰されました。Cisco社やTelco Systems社製プロダクトに打ち勝って受賞したものです。

受賞者は、Ovumや Infoneticsなどの主要な業界アナリスト会社およびTelus、Colt、Oi Brasil、日本電信電話会社（NTT）などの通信事業者からの審査員団に選ばれました。賞は、イベント主催者であるIIR Telecoms & Technologyの後援の下に、メトロ・イーサネット・フォーラム（MEF）の立会いの下で授与されました。

最大80 x GbEまたは 16 x 10GbEアクセス・リンクを10 GbE冗長ポートに集約

ETX-5300Aはアクセス・ネットワークからプロバイダ・エッジ（PE）までイーサネットとTDMトラフィックをグルーミングし、通信事業者がGbEリンク当たりの運用コストを大幅に削減できるようにします。スモール・フォーム・ファクター・ボックスにパッケージ化されたETX-5300Aは、競合他社製品の半分以下の消費電力で、最大80のGbEまたは16の10GbEアクセス・リンクを10 GbE冗長ポートに集約し、高価なPE容量を確保し、RADのETX キャリア・イーサネット・デマケーション装置と併用する際のリンク当たりの価格を削減して設備投資費（CapEx）と運用コスト（OpEx）を著しく削減します。SLAベースのビジネス・イーサネット・サービスの提供にも採用できます。

「ETX-5300Aは、1588グランドマスター・クロックを含む最先端の”Timing Over Packet”同期技術を備えた幅広いツール・セットを特徴としています」とETXポートフォリオ担当マネージャーのEyal Aloniは付け加えました。「従って、ホールセール・ネットワークで”Timing over Packet”サービスの提供にも利用でき、同じインフラ上でビジネスとモバイル・ネットワーク・サービスを収束する能力を与える単一機器として機能を果たします。

2011年に2つのキャリア・イーサネット賞を受賞

RADは、昨年、2つのキャリア・イーサネット賞を受賞した唯一のベンダーでした。同社のETX-203Aは、シンガポールで開催されたCarrier Ethernet APAC 2011において、アジア太平洋地域で最高のキャリア・イーサネット・デマケーション製品として認められました。同年にアムステルダムで開催されたCarrier Ethernet World Congress 2011では、RADのETX-205AがEMEA市場で最高のキャリア・イーサネット・モバイル・バックホール製品の賞を受賞しました。

    For the second straight year, RAD Data Communications has won a prestigious

Carrier Ethernet Award at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress, which is meeting

this week in Barcelona.

    RAD was cited for the Best Carrier Ethernet Aggregation Product EMEA for its

recently-unveiled ETX-5300A Ethernet Service Aggregation Platform

Cisco and Telco Systems to take the award.

    The winners were selected by a panel of judges from leading industry

analyst firms, including Ovum and Infonetics, as well as telecom operators such

as Telus, Colt, Oi Brasil, and NTT Japan. They were presented under the

auspices of IIR Telecoms & Technology, organizer of the event, and in the

presence of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF).

    "This award, the third such one we've received in the past twelve months,

confirms RAD's leadership role in developing the most advanced Carrier Ethernet

    Aggregates up to 80 GbE or 16 10GbE Access Links into Redundant 10GbE Ports

    The ETX-5300A grooms Ethernet and TDM traffic from the access network to the

provider's edge (PE), enabling operators to substantially reduce their

operational costs per Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) link. Packaged in a small form

factor box that uses less than half the power consumption than any competitive

product, the ETX-5300A aggregates up to 80 GbE or 16 10GbE access links into

redundant 10GbE ports, freeing up expensive PE capacity and significantly

reducing CapEx and OpEx by cutting the price per link when working

opposite RAD's ETX Carrier Ethernet demarcation devices. It can also be

deployed to deliver SLA-based business Ethernet services.

    "The ETX-5300A features an extensive toolset with an unsurpassed suite of

advanced timing-over-packet synchronization technologies, including a 1588
