年次レッドカーペット・ガライベントは、マレーシアのクアラルンプールで2012年10月13日に開催されました。

ホスピタリティー産業において世界的に権威ある最高級の賞のひとつとされるこのワールド・ラグジュアリー・ホテル・アワーズは、高級ホテルの所有する世界クラスの施設やゲストに提供される優れたサービスを表彰するグローバル機構です。この機構は高級ホテル産業におけるサービス・スタンダードの整備を促進し、またこれを引き上げることを目的として設立されました。

ワールド・ラグジュアリー・ホテル・アワーズの投票過程に正式にノミネートされるための基準は、サービスが総合的に優れていることです。賞の審査過程は審査委員会にゆだねるのではなく、旅行会社や旅行コンサルタント、業界の専門家やそのホテルに宿泊した経験を持つゲストによる一般投票で行われ、業界そのものの判定となります。

今年は1,500以上の指名があった中、29分野にわたり61カ国のホテルやリゾートが選ばれました。勝者は国、大陸、全世界の部門毎に選ばれます。また最多得票を果たした施設には、特定のカテゴリーの総合優勝者として、グローバル・アワードが授与されます。

marked a grand slam win in the following categories at the recently concluded

The annual red carpet Gala event was held on 13 October 2012 in Kuala Lumpur,

Malaysia.

Recognised as amongst the world's most prestigious and exclusive awards for the

hospitality industry, the World Luxury Hotel Awards is a global organisation

that provides recognition to luxury hotels for their world class facilities and

service excellence provided to guests. The organisation aims to encourage and

raise service standards within the luxury hotel industry.

The criteria to be successfully nominated and included in the official World

Luxury Hotel Awards voting process is overall service excellence. The award

judging process is not dependent on a board of directors, but by the industry

itself through public voting by tour operators, travel consultants, industry

experts and guests that have experienced these hotels.

From amongst over 1500 nominations received this year, the event saw hotels and

resorts from 61 countries awarded in 29 categories. Winners are recognised on a

country, continent, and global basis; and properties receiving the most votes

are conferred the global awards being the overall luxury winner of a specific

category.
