【北京2019年11月11日PR Newswire＝共同通信JBN】オリビエ賞受賞者で伝説的な日本のバレリーナである松山バレエ団の森下洋子氏は、バレエ団総代表兼振付家で夫の清水哲太郎氏と共に「白毛女（The White-Haired Girl）」の比類のない公演のため中央広播電視総台（China Media Group）の制作するバラエティー番組、Stories（「番組」）で中国に集まった。

白毛女は1955年に東京で初演され、1958年には中国で上演された。番組中には、森下洋子氏に加わって65年前に白毛女の一部を演じた初の中国人バレエダンサー、石鐘琴氏が登場した。公演中に森下氏が身に着けた衣装や髪飾りは、61年前に同氏が初めて中国を訪問した際の贈り物だ。

1952年に公開された中国映画の白毛女にインスピレーションを得て、松山バレエ団は社会運動としてバレエを制作した。1940年代の中国を舞台にした貧しい娘、喜児の物語だ。借金を返済できず喜児は横暴な地主から逃げ出したが、父親に暴力を振るわれ数年間身を潜めて暮らさなければならなくなった。軍に救済されて恋人の王大春と再会するまで、人前から隠れている間に彼女の長い黒髪は白髪に変わってしまった。

番組で清水哲太郎氏は「白毛女は中国の物語だが、世界の人間としてわれわれは皆にその普遍的な価値観を示し、痛みや女性の苦しみ、恵まれない人々が苦しみ続けていることを思い出してもらいたい」と述べた。

Yoko Morishita, Olivier Awards winner and legendary Japanese ballerina, from

the Matsuyama Ballet Company, along with her husband Tetsutaro Shimizu, the

company's director and chief choreographer, have joined China in Stories, a

variety program ("the show") produced by China Media Group, for a unique

performance of "The White-Haired Girl".

The White-Haired Girl premiered in Tokyo in 1955 and was staged in China in

1958. During the show, Yoko Morishita is joined by Shi Zhongqin, the first

Chinese ballet dancer to perform a section of the white-haired girl 65 years

ago. Costumes and hair accessories worn by Yoko Morishita during the

performance are gifts from her first visit to China 61 years ago.

Inspired by the Chinese movie The White-Haired Girl released in 1952, the

Matsuyama Ballet Company produced its ballet as a social movement. Set in the

1940s in China, it tells the story of a poor young woman, Xi'er. Unable to pay

her debts, Xi'er escapes from her oppressive landlord, only to be beaten to by

her father and forced into hiding for several years. During her time in hiding,

her long black hair turns white, before soldiers save her and reunite her with

her lover, Wang Dachun.

"The story of The White-Haired Girl is a Chinese story, but as people of the

world, we like to show its universal value and remind others of the pain, and

suffering women and underprivileged people continue to suffer," said Tetsutaro

Shimizu in the show.
