"Nanhai district is a hot spot for investment, a paradise for entrepreneurship,

and an industrial highland." On the morning of September 14, the Intelligent

Manufacturing, Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Industries

Promotion Conference and the Factory Network Business Conference (FBC) 2021

were held in Nanhai district, Foshan city in southern China's Guangdong

province, hosted by the People's Government of Nanhai District. Gu Yaohui, head

of the district, said in his speech that he hopes more domestic and foreign

business men know more about Nanhai district, stay and realize their dreams

here.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Nanhai has held the FBC. 130 Japanese

companies and 40 Chinese ones participated in the exhibition this year,

covering metal products, automobile and ship products, steel industry, general

machinery, electrical machinery, electronic components, precision machinery,

environmental protection and energy conservation, etc. A number of projects,

which were newly introduced or with increased capital for expanding production,

including the Yusei project of precision plastic parts for automotive

headlights, were signed at the site.

Over the past six years, the FBC has gradually developed into an significant

event for Nanhai to deepen economic and trade cooperation with Japan and an

important window for investment introduction promotion. It bridges the gap

between Chinese and Japanese companies and helps to improve product quality as

private companies in Nanhai purchase higher-quality parts and accessories. At

the same time, these private companies gain access to the supply chain of

Japanese companies and open up a broader global market. The annual turnover of

the FBC is more than 30 million, and many high-quality Japanese companies have

signed contracts, injecting strong momentum into the construction of a modern

industrial system featuring high-tech manufacturing industry, high-quality

service industry, new energy industry, new material industry, new generation

electronic information industry, new bio-medicine industry.

Currently, Nanhai, a district in a prefecture-level city, has the most densely

dotted Japanese-funded enterprises, 120 in total, in the Guangdong-Hong

Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, of which, 19 are among the world's top 500

enterprises, with a total investment of more than 3 billion U.S. dollars. These

achievements come as a result of the district's continuous optimization of the

business environment and the service mechanism, as well as continuous

strengthening of the investment introduction team. There are 19

Japanese-speaking personnel serving Japanese businesses. In addition to daily

work contacts, officials of Nanhai communicate with the Japanese Business

Association every quarter to follow up the development of Japanese companies

and help solve their problems. For example, during the epidemic, Japanese

companies faced a series of issues such as shortage of epidemic prevention

materials, examination and approval of technical personnel entering China, and

employees vaccinating, all of which were effectively coordinated and resolved.
