The Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka is shining bright with the talent and creativity of the artisanal businesses from Puglia, the protagonists of the week dedicated to the region.

The examples of excellence showcased include Paulicelli, an historic company from Bari specialized in artistic lighting systems.

Since 1920, Paulicelli has exported to foreign markets worldwide Puglia’s light-making tradition with scenographic installations that are awe-inspiring and thrilling due to their unique lighting effects

Roberta Risolo, a goldsmith from Otranto, exhibits exclusive creations mixing stylistic research with the tradition of Salento.

Her jewels evoke stories that are rooted in local culture, combining materials and symbols that are fascinating and intriguing.

The union between digital architecture and craftsmanship has given birth to Officina Chiodo Fisso, Alessio and Emanuele’s atelier in Putignano, Bari.

The duo create furniture for public and private spaces, using innovative techniques and materials to shape visual and functional experiences.

In Tricase (Lecce), Ceramiche Branca has brought to Osaka the art of ceramics from Salento.

Founded in 1987 by master Agostino Branca, the atelier is unique for its stylistic experimentation and the ability to reinterpret in a contemporary way the shapes and designs of local tradition.

A versatile figure in Puglia’s artistic and cultural world, Nicola Zucchi – a digital artist, interior designer, director and scriptwriter – exhibits artworks reflecting an international career that has taken him to Milan, London and New York, his constant exploration of visual and digital art.

Sava, in the province of Taranto, is home to entrepreneurs Silvia and Anna Maria Decataldo, who have operated for over 30 years in the sector of steel and mechanics.

Together with architect Massimiliano Saracino, they have created a design line mixing memory and innovation.

This is how Centrino Style was born, a collection of lamps and appliques in Corten steel inspired by the doilies traditionally made by women in Puglia.

A central element of decoration in homes once upon a time, they have been given today modern and sculptural shapes, the expression of a tradition that is renewing itself.
