2025 World Robot Contest Shandong Provincial Trials Kick Off in Bincheng District, Binzhou

BINZHOU, China, Sept. 19, 2025 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/--
On Sept. 13, the Shandong Provincial Trials of the 2025 World Robot Contest Youth Robot Design Competition MatataWorld kicked off at Binzhou Advanced Technical School. Nearly 300 young robot competitors from Binzhou, Weifang, and neighboring counties and districts gathered to compete fiercely on the same stage. While striving for advancement, they also experienced the wonders of technology and sparked new ideas.
The provincial-level trials, hosted by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, featured five contest categories, including the popular Treasure Hunt and the challenge-based FuturePlans. The competition emphasized participants' programming logic, teamwork, and on-the-spot problem-solving abilities.
In recent years, Binzhou has consistently promoted the integrated development of technological innovation and education, and incorporated artificial intelligence, robotics, and information technology into youth development programs. The city has built practical platforms for young students to exchange knowledge, showcase skills, and enhance capabilities, inspiring a passion for science and fostering hands-on innovation.
The successful hosting of this event has not only selected outstanding talents for the national finals but has also sparked a wave of enthusiasm for robotics technology across the city.
