◎「信号通信：アジア」会議を開催　　グローバル・トランスポート・フォーラム社

【ロンドン１８日PRN＝共同JBN】高速鉄道ネットワークの拡大は、地域で進行中の８０の開発プロジェクトのほんの一例にすぎない。鉄道と地下鉄は厳格な時間および予算の枠内で発展しなければならないが、過去数年間、その信頼性に加え、これらの鉄道ネットワークを毎日利用する数百万人の乗客の安全性について懸念が示されてきた。

中国だけで現在５０００キロ、タイ、シンガポール、香港で数百キロにおよぶ鉄道プロジェクトが現在進行中であり、鉄道と地下鉄向けの効率的な鉄道信号通信（signalling and telecommunication）技術は、現存および進行中のプロジェクトにとって極めて重要である。業界リーダーは、安全および性能面の標準規格を最良なものにすることを目指し、直面する技術的、戦略的な課題を討議するために協力する必要があると強調してきた。

ほんの１カ月後であるが５月１６日から１８日にかけ、専門の講演者３０人以上とシーメンス、ボンバルディア、テルトロニク、エステレル・テクノロジーズなどの業界リーダー１５０人がバンコク・メトロ、タイ国営鉄道、バンコク都庁（BMA）、バンコク・スカイトレインなどの後援組織とともに参加し、「信号通信：アジア」（Signalling and Telecommunications: Asia）で、これら懸案事項について対応を話し合う。この目的は、信号通信、安全性、プロジェクト提供、オペレーション、投資収益率（ROI）についての地域固有の技術および運用上の課題に対してベストプラクティス戦略を提供することにある。

    The expansion of the high-speed network is just one of over 80 development

projects ongoing in the region. Over the past few years, concerns have been

raised over reliability and the safety of the millions of passengers who will

use these networks daily, as railways and metros must advance within strict

time and budgetary frameworks.

    With over 5000kms of rail projects currently in the works in China alone

and hundreds of kilometers in development in Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong,

efficient signalling and telecommunication technology for both railways and

metros is critical on both existing and evolving projects. Industry leaders

have stressed the need to come together to discuss the technical and strategic

challenges they are faced with to ensure that safety and performance standards

are optimised.

    In just one month, from the 16 to the 18th May 2012, over 30 expert

speakers and 150 industry leaders from companies such as Siemens, Bombardier,

Teltronic and Esterel Technologies will be joined by supporters such as Bangkok

Metro, State Railway of Thailand, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and

Bangkok Sky Train, among others, to address these concerns at Signalling and

Telecommunications: Asia. The aim is to deliver best practice strategies to the

region's specific technical and operational challenges across signalling and

telecommunications, safety, project delivery, operations and ROI.

    The compelling agenda includes case studies, panel debates and roundtable

sessions led by experts such as Alex Man Kwong, Signalling and

Telecommunications Project Manager at MTR, and Po-Ying Chen, Head of Signalling
