【ダラス（米テキサス州）、エスポー（フィンランド）2012年7月29日PRN＝共同JBN】MetaWatch（商標）は29日、最新のSTRATAシリーズ製品で一般消費者向けスマートウオッチ市場に参入すると発表した。クリエーティブプロジェクト実現を助けるクラウドソーシング・プラットフォーム、Kickstarterの始動により、STRATAはBluetooth 4.0 テクノロジーを通じてiPhone（登録商標） 4S、Androidのスマートフォンにつながる。魅力的なスポーツウオッチスタイルのSTRATAは振動アラートで着信、SMS、電子メール、Facebook、Twitterメッセージを通知するとともに、音楽を管理する。設定可能な画面上のウィジェット（widget）が天気、アポイントメント、株価などを一目瞭然にアップグレードする。ジョギングやサイクリングのアプリケーションもバンドルされて、ワークアウト中に一目で分かるようフィードバックすることができる。
