The world 1st *1 Halal approved*2 Paint manufacturer establishment signing ceremony

- The Joint project between Japan Eco-technology and Halal in healthy and sustainable concept -

Nihon Chuo Kenkyujo Co., Ltd. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yasuhiro Manaka, hereinafter NCK) is now signing for the business alliance for the world 1st Halal approved paint manufacturing, with Sersol Coatings SDN BHD (the subsidiary of Sersol Berhad, the Malaysian listed paint company, hereinafter Sersol Coatings) through the NCK Singapore subsidiary, NCK Global Paint PTE. LTD. (hereinafter NCK GP). This joint project aims to produce the healthy and sustainable paint for worldwide market from this autumn.

NCK has been developing the heat shield paint business to contribute for the environmental preservation and the energy saving since 2005, and obtained many kind of Eco and Green marks certificate in Asian countries. And NCK concluded MOU with Sersol Coatings for new joint project with Halal approval aim on 21 May 2015 in Malaysia, under the concept of healthy and sustainable product, now NCK becomes effective the signing ceremony to establish the joint venture company, Sersol NCK. Sersol NCK set the targets; to obtain the Halal approval by autumn 2015, to develop the sales market mainly from Islamic countries including Malaysia state-owned enterprises, to achieve the first year sales of 800 million yen, and to plan listing in Malaysia within 3 years.

*2 Nowadays the Halal approval is not only for foods, but also other safety, healthy and sustainable product / service matters such as transportation etc.
