Innophys Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Innophys") released wearable work-assisting robotic suit "MUSCLE SUIT Every" in France and Spain on March 1.

The Tokyo-based company has placed the product on the French and Spanish markets as part of its efforts to promote the sale of the MUSCLE SUIT series overseas. Innophys believes that demand for the product will continue expanding throughout the world because they are based on its mission to ensure that people lead self-reliant lives.

The company assumes that potential demand for work-assisting suits is relatively strong in the European Union (EU) member countries as awareness of the need to protect workers is high in the region.

Demand for nursing care is expected to grow in France and Spain where the aging of the working population -- particularly in the manufacturing, logistics and farming sectors -- has been accelerating in recent years along with the graying of their entire population. In particular, Innophys sees potentially strong demand for its product in the agricultural industry in France, known as the EU’s largest farming state.

Under these circumstances, Innophys has partnered with local sales agents to market the product in France and Spain.

As of the end of 2020, the MUSCLE SUIT series had sold over 16,000 units. The device can be used at various work sites, including manufacturing, farming, nursing care, logistics and construction, since its artificial muscle uses compressed air to provide assistive force without relying on electric power.
