Symposium at Waseda University: Postwar Reconciliation in Europe
Co-sponsored by the Embassies of France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK
Waseda University announces an event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, an international symposium to examine the history of postwar reconciliation in Europe.
How have the European countries which fought each other in the war overcome the tragedy and rebuilt their relations today? Representatives from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK will share the experiences of their own countries and analyze the process.
This event should appeal to anyone concerned about international relations, and as a valuable reference for East Asia, which continues to be influenced by experiences and memories of its own conflicts 70 or more years ago.
