The biennial global event will be hosted by Germany and run from December 1 to 17, 2017. The official game ball, the X5000 Germany 2017 Edition, as well as replica models will be available for purchase in select markets from the end of June of 2017.

Molten's renowned X5000 elite handball series is the official ball of the International Handball Federation (IHF) and is used in all IHF-sanctioned international competitions. The new X5000 Germany 2017 Edition handball features a custom design that will be exclusive to the 2017 championship event.
