◎パリが世界で一番高価　　クラブサンドイッチの値段比較

【ロンドン９日PRN＝共同JBN】ホテルズ･ドットコム（Hotels.com）が９日発表した調査によると、世界で最もロマンチックな都市であるパリがクラブサンドイッチの値段が世界で一番高い都市だった。世界中のホテルで手に入るクラシックなチキン、ベーコン、卵、レタス、マヨネーズのサンドイッチがホテル専門家によって値段判定の手段に使われた。このクラブサンドイッチ指数（CSI）は世界中のホテルのメニューにある最も一般的なアイテムの１つを指標として使って、休日の旅先によって違うコストの目安を観光客に提供している。

CSIの平均価格は、調査された各国の首都にある３０のホテルで客が実際にクラブサンドイッチに支払った価格で計算された。全体でホテルズ・ドットコムは２６カ国の５つ星、４つ星、３つ星の７５０以上のホテルでクラブサンドイッチの値段を調査した。

フランスの首都パリでは、CSIは５つ星ホテルの飛び抜けた３３・４４英ポンド（５４・２０ドル）から２つ星ホテルのよりリーズナブルな１３・７２英ポンド（２２・２０ドル）までの価格を示し、クラブサンドイッチの平均コストは２０・４３英ポンド（３３・１０ドル）だった。２番目に高い都市はスイスのジュネーブで、クラブサンドイッチの平均コストは２０・１０英ポンド（３２・５６ドル）、次がオスロの１８・８３英ポンド（３０・５０ドル）だった。調査された都市のなかで最も安かったのはニューデリーで、わずか５・９１英ポンド（９・５７ドル）だった。

C'est Combien?! Paris Named Most Expensive City for a Club Sandwich, According to the Hotels.com Club Sandwich Index

     The world's most romantic city, Paris, has been named the most expensive

city in the world for a Club Sandwich, according to research released today by

Hotels.com. The classic chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce and mayo sandwich,

available in hotels the world over, has been used as a measure of affordability

by the hotel expert. The Club Sandwich Index (CSI) will give holiday-makers an

indication of the costs associated with their holiday destination, using one of

the most common items on any hotel menu around the world as a barometer.

    The CSI average price has been calculated by taking the real prices paid by

guests for a Club Sandwich in 30 hotels in the capital city of each country

measured. In total Hotels.com surveyed the Club Sandwich prices in more than

750 hotels in the five, four and three star category across 26 countries.

    In the French capital, the CSI showed prices ranged from an extraordinary

GBP33.44 ($54.10) for a 'Club' in a five-star hotel to a more reasonable

GBP13.72 ($22.20) in a two star establishment, with the Paris average cost of a

Club coming in at GBP20.43 ($33.10). The second most expensive city was found

to be the Swiss city Geneva, where the sandwich costs an average of GBP20.10

($32.56), followed by GBP18.83 ($30.50) for a Club in Oslo. The cheapest city

of those surveyed was New Delhi with a cost of just GBP5.91 ($9.57).

    Alison Couper from Hotels.com said; "When planning a trip away, many

holidaymakers don't always factor the everyday costs of items including food

and drink into their decision making process. By providing people with a Club

Sandwich Index it is the perfect way for holidaymakers to assess a

destination's real cost! Paris may well be the gastronomic capital of the world

but at an average GBP20.43 ($33.10) per Club, travellers may be better off

sticking to a Croque-Monsieur..."
