7th GATSBY Student CM Awards: Indonesian Team Becomes First Foreign Winner of Mandom-Sponsored Asian Student Video Commercial Contest

Mandom Corp. announced on November 17 the winners of the 7th GATSBY Student CM Awards, an international student contest for producing the best video commercials featuring the company's GATSBY line of products. An award-giving ceremony was held at the Harajuku Quest Hall, Tokyo, following the final screening.

* Summary of 7th GATSBY Student CM Awards

Mandom invited students in seven countries and regions -- Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia -- to produce and submit video commercials featuring the GATSBY products. A total of 1,066 were sent in before the time limit for application on Aug. 31, 2012.

Twenty-two commercials were selected for the final screening after the first round of screening and subsequent popular voting on GATSBY's official website in each of the above countries and regions well as on a website for cell-phones in Japan. The representatives and team members of the finally nominated commercials presented their works on November 17 in the final screening in Tokyo in front of the jury who decided on grand prix and individual awards.
