【ケープタウン（南アフリカ）2013年5月6日PRN=共同JBN】アフリカの石油・天然ガス産業に関する世界最長の主要常設会議、アフリカ・オイル・ウィーク（Africa Oil Week）が20周年を迎え、11月25日から29日までケープタウンに6大陸の代表1250人以上を集めて開催される。大手企業、各国政府、国営石油企業、ライセンス契約エージェンシー、独立機関、銀行、サービス・供給、アナリスト、協会の100人を超えるプレゼンターがアフリカ大陸の将来の見通しを明らかにする。

会議の議長、ダンカン・クラーク博士は「石油・天然ガスの発見、炭化水素地帯の埋蔵量増加、石油・天然ガス生産の伸長、新たな事業と発見、数件の液化天然ガス（LNG）開発、北部の大規模な潜在性、新興の東海岸内陸・沖合における国際水準の資源発見という着実な記録からみて、アフリカは引き続きグローバルな石油・天然ガス事業の主要地域になっている」と語った。

Global Pacific & Partners（グローバル・パシフィック＆パートナーズ）が主催する第20回アフリカ・オイル・ウィークは、アフリカのエネルギー産業にとって重大な機会であり、国際的に評価が定着し、国際石油・天然ガス業界の年中行事になっている世界最高級の会議である。

会議は石油・天然ガス－LNG全体とアフリカ大陸のエネルギー産業に関する最高水準のネットワークを与えている。各代表は上級役員、政府当局者、株主が直接合い間見える公開討論を通じて、アフリカの動きの速い石油・天然ガス事業、探査戦略、企業資産／ポートフォリオ、入札、鉱区、投資収益力、新興テクノロジー、主要テーマについて比類のない洞察を得る。このためアフリカ・オイル・ウィークは見逃せないものになっており、2012年には会議の数週間前にソールドアウトになった。

ことしのアフリカ・オイル・ウィークのプログラムは11月25日の第15回Scramble For Africa Strategy Briefing、同26日の第10回Africa Independents Forum、同27－29日の第20回Africa Upstream ConferenceとAnnual Board Awards、同25日の第54回PetroAfricanus Dinnerなどとなっており、ゲストスピーカーの作家バベッテ・ファンゲッセル氏（Jacana社が2013年、著作Our World Safari, So Far を出版）はブックランチにも出席する。

Scramble for Africa Strategy Briefingでダンカン・クラーク博士（会長兼最高経営責任者＝CEO）は、アフリカ大陸の競争力ある上流石油・天然ガス事業について、約750社に精通した洞察と解釈を加えるとともに、アフリカ全域の石油・天然ガス－LNG企業、国営石油会社の変わりゆく競合者の綿密な追跡に基づき、アフリカで新たに生まれ、めまぐるしく変わる石油地図の独自のイメージを描いて、独自の見解を表明する。

World's leading Conference, attended by 1250 delegates from Six Continents

The 20th Africa Oil Week, the world's longest standing and leading meeting for

Africa's oil and gas industry, celebrates its Twentieth Anniversary, as over

1250 delegates from six continents attend the Conference (Cape Town, November

25th-29th). Over 100 leading speakers from leading corporates, governments,

national oil companies, licensing agencies, independents, banks, service and

supply, analysts and institutions and will give insight into the Continent's

future.

As the Conference Chairman, Dr Duncan Clarke, remarked: "With a consistent

record of oil and gas discoveries, and rising oil and gas reserves across its
