＊第20回国際エイズ学会議（AIDS 2014）のプログラムがオンラインに
非差別がHIVに対する証拠に基づく反応と効果的な公共保健プログラムへの基本であることを確認する宣言が16日、オーストラリアのメルボルンで2014年7月20-25日に開催される第20回国際エイズ学会議（AIDS 2014）の主催者から発表された。
AIDS 2014の国際議長で 国際エイズ学会（International AIDS Society、IAS）会長、パリ・パスツール研究所レトロウイルス感染部長のフランソワーズ・バレシヌーシ教授は「重要な感染者グループに対する差別的で犯罪視する法律、政策の施行は警戒すべきである。このような行為は明らかに基本的人権を侵害するものであり、HIVの予防、治療、看護へのアクセスに障害をつくることによってHIV計画に大きな損害を与えるものである」と語っている。
HIVとエイズへの世界的対応に関与しているすべての個人、組織に対しhttp://www.aids2014.org/declaration.aspxでこの宣言に署名し、それぞれのネットワークで共有するよう呼びかける。

AIDS 2014 Melbourne Declaration Calls for the Eradication of Discrimination Against People Living With or at Risk of HIV, to Ensure Equal Access to HIV Prevention, Treatment and Care for All

- The programme of the 20th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014)
is now online
A declaration affirming that non-discrimination is fundamental to an
evidence-based response to HIV and effective public health programmes was
announced today by the organizers of the 20th International AIDS Conference
(AIDS 2014), to be held in Melbourne, Australia, from 20-25 July 2014.
"The enforcement of discriminatory and criminalising laws and policies
against key affected populations is alarming," said Professor Francoise
Barre-Sinoussi, AIDS 2014 International Chair, President of the International
AIDS Society (IAS) and Director of the Regulation of Retroviral Infections Unit
at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. "Such practices clearly violate basic human
rights and heavily undermine HIV programmes by posing barriers to access to HIV
prevention, treatment and care."
All individuals and organizations involved in the global response to HIV and
AIDS are encouraged to sign the declaration at:
