ワイヤレス電力計測の基礎技術のChargifi（http://chargifi.com ）は10日、資金調達ラウンドで500万ポンドを調達したと発表する。投資を主導したのはAccelerated Digital Ventures（ADV、https://accelerated.ventures ）で、Hewlett Packard Enterprise（HPE、https://www.hpe.com/us/en/home.html ）やfirstminute capital（https://www.firstminute.capital ）など他の投資家も加わった。この投資によってChargifiは米国とアジア市場で販売とマーケティング、国際的な成長の加速が可能になる。折しもワイヤレス電力の需要は上昇中で、Global Marketing Insightsによると、ワイヤレス充電の市場は2023年には250億ドル規模になる見通し。

ChargifiはグランドハイアットやPret a Manger（プレタ・マンジェ）などの国際ブランドが、電力を管理、モニター、収益化する方法を転換することを可能にする基礎技術を提供している。同社はワイヤレス給電装置管理の制御と事業化に特化したインターネット・オブ・シングス（IoT）プラットフォームを製作して特許化した。ChargifiのIP（知的財産）はスマートフォン向けのクラウド接続ワイヤレス充電から電気自動車、ドローン（小型無人機）までにわたる。事業規模のワイヤレス充電に対する需要が増えたことでChargifiの成長が促され、この需要に応えるためにChargifiは、マネージド・サービス・プロバイダーやシステムインテグレーターとグローバルに戦略的提携関係を結んでいる。

HPEによる戦略投資によってChargifiは、グローバルな有力テクノロジー企業と関係ができる。事業に投資するだけでなく、HPEとChargifiは提携し、HPEの世界中の顧客に対して接続ソリューションの一部としてChargifiのワイヤレス充電を提供する。

10日にはLosantとの戦略的提携も発表される。Losantの急拡大するIoTプラットフォームは、全体的視点から見た顧客の技術ニーズに応えるさまざまな選択肢を網羅している。HPEとも提携しているLosantは、グローバルな顧客層がChargifiのワイヤレス充電技術を普及させることを可能にする。

Chargifiはこの戦略成長とグローバルな勢いを維持するため、今後1年間に従業員数を2倍にする予定だ。

    Today Chargifi [http://chargifi.com ], the foundational technology for

scaling wireless power, announces that it has raised a GBP5 million funding

round.  The investment was led by Accelerated Digital Ventures

[https://accelerated.ventures ] (ADV), with other investors including Hewlett

Packard Enterprise [https://www.hpe.com/us/en/home.html ] (HPE)  and

firstminute capital [https://www.firstminute.capital ]. This investment will

enable Chargifi to accelerate sales and marketing, and international growth

across US and Asian markets at a time when the demand for wireless power is on

the rise - according to Global Marketing Insights the wireless charging market

is set to be worth $25billion by 2023.

    Chargifi provides the foundational technology that enables global brands,

including Grand Hyatt and Pret a Manger, to transform the way they manage,

monitor and monetise power. Chargifi has built and patented an Internet of

Things (IoT) platform specialising in the control and enterprise management of

wireless power infrastructure. Chargifi's IP covers 'cloud-connected' wireless

charging for smartphones, through to electric vehicles and drones. Chargifi's

growth is being fuelled by increasing demand for enterprise grade wireless

power; to meet this demand Chargifi is establishing strategic partnerships with

    The strategic investment from HPE establishes Chargifi's relationship with
