40ミリApple Watch Series 4向けのWaterproof Case（防水ケース）が初めてリリースされ、最新のApple Watch向けのImpact Protection（耐衝撃）および防水ケースの全製品がそろい、さらにSamsung Galaxyデバイスの最新ラインアップであるS10、S10 Plus、S10e用の耐衝撃ケースもアジア市場向けに初めて公開された。今年初めラスベガスで開催されたCESで米国向けに公開されたCatalyst Impact Protectionケースは、CES会場を訪れた見学者の前でCNETによる厳しい公開テストを受けた。このケースは、ひび割れたタイル張り床に高さ20フィートからスクリーンを下にした状態で落下させ、その後、2ポンドの鉄製ボールベアリングをこの上に落として破壊を試みたが、耐えた。テストに参加したケースブランド10社のうち、Catalystは最もスリムなケースであったが、スクリーン保護なしでボールベアリング・テストに耐えた唯一のケースだった。

The Waterproof Case for 40mm Apple Watch Series 4 will be released for the
first time, rounding out the full line of Impact Protection and Waterproof
Cases for latest Apple Watch and a new showcase to the Asian Market, the Impact
Protection cases for the latest lineup of Samsung Galaxy devices - the S10, S10
Plus and S10e. As part of the U.S. CES Showcase in Las Vegas earlier this year,
the Catalyst Impact Protection case was put through a rigorous public trial by
CNET in front of a live audience. The case survived a 20ft drop, face down on a
cracked tile floor, followed by a two-pound steel ball bearing being dropped on
the case attempting break the phone. Of the 10 participating case brands,
Catalyst was the slimmest case and the only one without a screen protector that
survived the ball bearing test.
