本日、持続可能な飛行への大きな一歩が踏み出されます。持続可能な航空燃料のグローバルリーダーであるオランダのSkyNRGが、発足メンバー各社と共に画期的なボード・ナウ（Board Now）プログラムを公式に立ち上げました。ボード・ナウに取り組むことで、各社は業務用航空機の排気量を削減すると共に持続可能な航空燃料の新たな生産施設開発にも貢献します。ボード・ナウは、企業が業界に直接貢献し、積極的に航空業界におけるエネルギー転換の道を開けるようにする世界初のプログラムです。すでにPwCやスカイスキャナー（Skyscanner）など多数の著名団体がこのプログラムに登録しています。

ボード・ナウの参加団体は、5年間持続可能航空燃料（SAF：sustainable aviation fuel）を購入することを約束します。この確約により、自社業務用航空機のCO2排出を削減するばかりでなく、新たな生産施設の開発にも貢献します。出資金は、持続可能航空燃料と従来のジェット燃料との価格差を補填するためSkyNRGが使用します。ボード・ナウ・プログラムの参加団体は、デルフセイルにあるヨーロッパ初の持続可能航空燃料専用工場（DSL-01）で製造される予定のSAFを大量に購入します。

同工場は年間10万トンの持続可能航空燃料を製造します。すなわち航空業界で年27万トン以上のCO2削減となるのです。持続可能航空燃料は、従来のジェット燃料と比較すると85％以上のCO2を削減します。

持続可能燃料は持続可能性の最高基準に合致

SkyNRGの独立した持続可能性委員会（Sustainability Board）は、燃料が持続可能性の最高基準に合致するか否かを助言します。同委員会は世界自然保護基金（WWF International）、欧州気候基金（European Climate Foundation）、ソリダリダード・ネットワーク（Solidaridad Network）、フローニンゲン大学（University of Groningen）などの代表から成っています。さらには、チェーンや関連商品の持続可能性が持続可能燃料最高の認証基準であるラウンドテーブル・オン・サステイナブル・バイオマテリアルズ（RSB：Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials）の認証で保証されます。

Launch of SkyNRG's ground-breaking program paves the way to sustainable aviation;

85 per cent reduction of emissions as a result of sustainable aviation fuel

Today, a significant step will be taken towards sustainable flying. Dutch company SkyNRG,

global leader in sustainable aviation fuel, officially launches its ground-breaking Board Now

program together with its launching members. By committing themselves to Board Now,

companies reduce their own business air travel emissions and at the same time contribute

to the development of a new production facility for sustainable aviation fuel.

Board Now is the worlds first program that enables companies to contribute directly

to the development of this industry and actively paves the way for the energy transition

in the aviation sector. A number of renowned organizations, such as PwC and Skyscanner,

have already signed-up to the program.

Organizations that join Board Now, commit themselves for a period of 5 years to

the purchase of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). With this commitment, they not

only reduce their own business air travel CO2 emissions, but also contribute to

the development of a new production facility. Their investment will be used by

SkyNRG to cover the price difference between sustainable aviation fuel and

conventional jet fuel. The coalition that participates in the Board Now program,

ensures a substantial purchase of SAF that will be produced by Europe's first

dedicated plant for the production of sustainable aviation fuel in Delfzijl (DSL-01).

This plant will annually produce 100,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel.

This will mean a CO2 reduction of over 270,000 tons a year for the aviation

industry. Sustainable aviation fuel can provide for a CO2 reduction of at least

85 per cent, compared to conventional jet fuel.

Sustainable fuel meets the highest sustainability standards

SkyNRG's independent Sustainability Board advises on whether the fuel meets the

highest sustainability standards. The Board includes representatives from WWF

International, the European Climate Foundation, the Solidaridad Network and the

University of Groningen. Furthermore, the sustainability of the chain and

related products are ensured through certification by the Roundtable on

Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), the highest possible certification standard for

sustainable fuels.
