2018－19学年度に同大学は46の国籍の370人余（うち26％はカタール国籍）の最大の新入生を受け入れた。HBKUの全学生の国籍は60以上あり、34％がカタール人である。多国籍の75人余の教職員もHBKUの学術経験に多様性を付加し続けている。

2019－20学年度には2つの新プログラムが導入される。人文・社会科学部（CHSS）のIntercultural Communication（異文化間コミュニケーション）文学修士プログラムは、カタールではこの種で初の学位である。学生らはカタールと世界全体で今日の変化する異文化間環境の問題を理解する研究、教育、活動に取り組む。法学部（CL）の法学博士プログラムも、中東・北アフリカ（MENA）地域で初めての本格的な研究集約的な博士学位である。このプログラムはカタールとMENA地域、その他で大学教員や政府職員に就く活動的な法学者集団を生み出すだろう。

2つの学位により、HBKUのコースは6学部に広がる35プログラムとなる。2018－19学年度には新たな8プログラムを加えた。イスラム学部のApplied Islamic Ethics（応用イスラム倫理学）文学修士、人文社会科学部の人文・社会科学博士、理学工学部のHealth Management（健康管理）情報システム修士とSports Management（スポーツ管理）理学修士（米サウスカロライナ大学との共同学位）、法学部の国際法・外交問題法学修士と国際経済・企業関係法法学修士、健康・生命科学部のExercise Science（運動科学）理学修士（米サウスカロライナ大学との共同学位）、公共政策学部の公共政策修士である。

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) is accepting applications to its 35 interdisciplinary

programs across six fast-evolving colleges for the 2019-2020 academic year.

In the 2018-2019 academic year, the university enjoyed its largest intake made

up of more than 370 new students comprising 46 nationalities, 26 percent of

which are Qatari nationals. HBKU's current student body represents more than 60

nationalities, 34 percent of whom are Qataris. A multinational roster of more than

75 faculty members continues to add its own diversity to HBKU's academic experience.

The 2019-2020 academic year sees the introduction of two new programs.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences' (CHSS) Master of Arts in

Intercultural Communication is the first degree of its kind in Qatar. Students

will engage in research, education, and outreach to understand the challenges

of today's changing intercultural settings in Qatar and worldwide. The College

of Law's (CL) Doctor of Juridical Science is also the first fully-fledged

research-intensive doctorate degree in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

It is expected that the program will create a vibrant community of legal scholars

who will assume teaching positions in universities and government roles in Qatar,

the MENA region, and beyond.

Both degrees take HBKU's course offerings up to 35 programs spread across its six colleges.

In academic year 2018-2019, the university introduced eight new programs: a Master of Arts

in Applied Islamic Ethics from the College of Islamic Studies; PhD in Humanities and Social

Sciences from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences; Master of Information Systems

in Health Management and Master of Science in Sports Management (a joint degree with the

University of South Carolina) from the College of Science and Engineering; Master of Laws in

International Law and Foreign Affairs and Master of Laws in International Economic and

Business Law from the College of Law; Master of Science in Exercise Science from the College

of Health and Life Sciences (a joint degree with the University of South Carolina); and a Master

of Public Policy offered by the College of Public Policy.
