◎マレーシアが日本に投資ミッション　　北部コリドー開発推進で

【クアラルンプール（マレーシア）２４日ベルナマ＝共同JBN】マレーシアの北部コリドー実施庁（NCIA）は、同国製輸出製品の４５％余りを生産する北部コリドー開発地域（NCER）に対して魅力を感じる潜在的投資家を探し求めている。

ムクリズ・マハティール国際貿易産業相はNCER計画に日本の企業を呼び寄せるため、京都、名古屋の両市を訪問する強力な貿易・投資ミッションを率いる。

NCERはマレーシア北部のペラ、ケダ、ペルリス、ペナンの４州をカバーしており、昨年に１５３億マレーシア・リンギットの認可済み製造ライセンスを得ている。NCERは２０１１年にマレーシアの外国企業直接投資（FDI）への最大額に貢献しており、それは主として製造部門で４０年の経験に依存している。

NCIA最高責任者のレジャ・ラフィク氏は、同コリドーに日本の投資家を引き付けることを確信している。

ラフィク氏は「日本は現在、NCERにより深い理解を寄せている。マレーシアの製造業による輸出製品の４５％余りは、NCER内で生まれている。ペナン空港は単独で、クアラルンプール国際空港（KLIA）と比較して２倍の金額相当の製品を運んでいる」とコメントした。

ラフィク氏によると、日本は円高と国内でのビジネスのコスト高が理由で、代替市場を積極的に探し求めている。そしてマレーシアは日本の代替市場マップの重要なアジア諸国に中に含まれている。

北部コリドー実施庁（NCIA）は２日間にわたる貿易・投資ミッション期間中、主要産業がエレクトロニクス、最先端電子機器・部品、機械設備、エンジニアリング・サービス、化学＆製薬である日本の潜在的投資家を引き付けたいとしている。

マレーシア代表団は株式会社ユースフルパースンの親会社で名古屋にある株式会社サイエンスネットを訪れる。ユースフルパースンは現在発光ダイオード（LED）技術を提供しており、ペナンのグローバル・アウトリーチ・エナジー社で製造されている。

代表団はまた、中部学院大学や回転寿司を開店して３０５のチェーン店を経営する株式会社あきんどスシローを訪問する。

NCIAは、４つの重点分野、すなわち農業、製造、観光、ロジスティックスを持つNCERの方向、政策、諸計画の設定に責任を持っている国家機関である。

The Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) is seeking to lure

potential investors to Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), which produced

more than 45 per cent of Malaysian manufactured export goods.

The Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Mukhriz Tun

Mahathir is leading a high-powered trade and investment mission to Japan's

Kyoto and Nagoya cities to attract Japanese companies to NCER.

The Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), which covers Perak, Kedah, Perlis

and Penang, saw RM15.3 billion approved manufacturing licences last year.

Having contributed the largest amount to Malaysia's foreign direct investments

(FDI) in 2011, the NCER is set to ride on its 40 year experience, mainly in the

manufacturing sector.

NCIA Chief Executive Datuk Redza Rafiq is confident of attracting Japanese

investors to invest in the Corridor.

"The Japanese are more aware of the NCER now. More than 45 per cent of

Malaysian manufactured export goods were produced within the Northern Corridor

Economic Region (NCER). Penang Airport alone, carried twice the value of goods,

when compared to the KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport)," Datuk Redza

Rafiq said.

According to him, Japanese are aggressively seeking alternative markets due to

rise in the Yen and also the cost of doing business in the country. And

Malaysia is among major Asian countries on their map.

During the two-day trade and investment mission, the NCIA is seeking to lure

potential investors where the main industries here are electronics, advanced

electronic devices & components, machinery & equipment, engineering services

and chemicals & pharmaceuticals.

The Malaysian delegation visited the Science Net Co Ltd headquarters in Nagoya,

a parent company of UsefulPerson Co Ltd, currently providing light-emitting

diode technology to be produced by local company, Global Outreach Energy Sdn

Bhd on mainland Penang.

They also visited Chubu Gakuin University and Sushiro Co. Ltd, which has 305

restaurants that serves sushi on a belt conveyor.

The NCIA is the statutory body responsible for setting the direction, policies

and programmes for the NCER, with four key thrust areas, namely, agriculture,

manufacturing, tourism and logistics.
