◎クラッド材で特許取得　　マキシオン・ホイールズ

【ノースビル（米ミシガン州）１０日PRN＝共同JBN】マキシオン・ホイールズ（Maxion Wheels、以下「マキシオン」もしくは「同社」）は１０日、新しい種類のクラッド材（ホイールカバー）で特許（特許番号８１６２４０６）が割り当てられたと発表した。新クラッド材はプラスティックとステンレススチールを組み合わせてできており、プラスティックは形状を良くし、ステンレスは光沢のあるクロームめっきが施されている。この新製品はドロップセンター型ホイール（低価格）に装着できるため、形状が良い上に、コスト効率も向上する。

Maxion Wheels Is Awarded Patent For Multi-Clad

NORTHVILLE, Mich., May 10, 2012 /PRN=KYODO JBN/ --

    Maxion Wheels ("Maxion" or the "Company") announced today that it has been

assigned a patent (8,162,406) for a new type of clad (wheel cover). The new

clad is made from a combination of plastic components, which allow for styling,

and stainless steel, which gives a bright chrome appearance. Enhanced styling

is joined by cost effectiveness in this new product, as the clad can be put on

a drop center (lower cost) wheel.
