【ピスカタウェイ（米ニュージャージー州）2012年5月31日PRN=共同JBN】代表的なバイオテクノロジー企業、ジェンスクリプトUSA社（GenScript USA Inc.）はこのほど中国南京に新たな研究開発施設を開設すると発表した。

新施設は今後グローバルビジネスを拡大し、アジアの新興市場、中国に展開しようとするジェンスクリプト社の戦略にとって重要な役割を果たすことになる。ジェンスクリプト社は4000万米ドルを投資し、南京江寧サイエンスパークに4,682,700平方フィートを占有する新研究開発拠点を構築した。同施設の建設は2009年に起工、最近までに5階建てビル3棟および国際実験動物管理公認協会（AAALAC）、実験動物福祉局（OLAW）認証済みの施設を持つ2階建ての動物収容ビル2棟を含め、研究開発拠点の第一期工事765,036平方フィート分が完成している。

これらの研究所には人工遺伝子合成、タンパク質精製・解析、抗体工学、薬品アッセイのための最先端の設備が設置されている。新施設にはまたオフィス、集会所、カフェテリア、従業員用の運動センターなども用意されている。

A New Facility for the 10-Year Anniversary of GenScript

GenScript USA Inc., a leading biotech company, has announced the opening of a

new R&D facility in Nanjing, China.

This new facility will play a key role in GenScript's strategy to expand its

global business and to reach the emerging market in Asia. GenScript invested

$40 million USD to build the new R&D base covering an area of 4,682,700 square

feet in JiangNing Science Park. The construction of the new facility broke

ground in 2009, and the first phase 765,036 square feet of the R&D base has

recently been completed with three 5-story buildings, and two 2-story animal

housing buildings with AAALAC and OLAW accredited facilities. New state of the

art equipment for gene-synthesis, protein purification and characterization,

antibody engineering and drug assays have been installed in the research labs.

And the new facilities also offer offices, a meeting center, a cafeteria and an

exercise center for employees.
