下肢虚血の一例である抹消動脈梗塞症（PAD）は血管の疾患であり、アテローム性動脈硬化によって起きる血液の流れが悪くなることに起因する下肢繊維組織への酸素供給が減少する際に発症する。

重症虚血肢の患者は、安静時（疼）痛の症状を示し、かいよう（潰瘍）およびえそ（壊疽）に進行し、切断手術の率、死亡率、心臓血管系疾患が高まる。血管内の膝下血管再形成術を受けることが、四肢を救う可能性を高めることになる。

    Lower-limb ischemia, a Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), is a vascular

limb.

    Still, Critical Limb Ischemia is associated with multi-segmental complex
