【ワシントン2013年6月27日PRN=共同JBN】アマチュア、プロを問わず、世界中の写真家による金融包摂（フィナンシャル・インクルージョン）をめぐる優れた作品を対象とするCGAPフォトコンテストが、2013年度の応募を受け付けている。応募作品は全てオンラインでの提出とし、期間は6月26日から10月2日までに、ウェブサイトcgap.org/photocontest（http://www.cgap.org/photocontest）まで。

主催者側が期待しているのは、貧しい生活をしている人々の金融にかかわる複雑な生活と、金融包摂がどのような違いをもたらすかを描き出す独創的で感動的な写真である。写真の主題としては一連の金融商品、金融制度、そしてファイナンス手法となろうが、多岐にわたる社会、経済、開発、さらにはテクノロジーの課題に触れるものでもよい。主催者は応募が世界の全地域にまたがり、村落と都市両方の環境をカバーするよう奨励する。貧しい家庭が家計をやりくりするさまざまな方法を紹介する写真を共有することによって、作品応募者は、生活向上のために金融サービスを利用することによるイノベーションと工夫の物語を教えてくれることに役立つ。

これまで行われたコンテストは（http://cgap.org/photos-videos/2012-cgap-photo-contest）目を見晴らせる独創的写真を生み出し、金融包摂や世界中のメディアの分野にある組織と共有された。昨年のコンテストはこれまでで最も競争が激しく、80カ国から2500作品が応募した。優勝作品はトルコの元銀行員、ヤブズ・サリイルディズ（Yavuz Sariyildiz）氏が応募した作品「木炭の煙（Smoke of Charcoal）」で、世界中で卓越した写真として受け入れられた。同作品はPR Newswireによってニューヨークのタイムズスクエアで展示され、トルコの新聞2紙が掲載し、BBCベトナムのウェブサイトのアート面に公開されている。

2013年には優勝、2等賞、3等賞など数多くの賞が授与される予定である。「ピープルズ・チョイス（People’s Choice）」賞の決定を支援するため、気に入った作品をぜひオンライン投票を。

2013 CGAP Photo Contest Now Open for Entries

    The CGAP Photo Contest, which aims to highlight stand-out photography from

amateurs and professionals around the world depicting financial inclusion, is

now accepting entries for 2013. All entries should be submitted online at

cgap.org/photocontest (http://www.cgap.org/photocontest) between June 26 and

October 2, 2013.

    We are looking for original, striking images that illustrate the complex

financial lives of people living in poverty and how financial inclusion makes a

difference. Photos may represent a range of products, institutions, and

methodologies, and may touch on a broad range of social, economic,

developmental, and technological issues. We encourage entries from all regions,

in both rural and urban settings. By sharing your images that demonstrate the

variety of ways poor households manage household finances, you'll help us tell

a story of innovation and ingenuity in the use of financial services to improve

lives.

    Previous rounds of the contest

and creative images that have been shared with organizations working in

financial inclusion and global media. Last year's contest was the most

competitive to date, with 2,500 entries from 80 countries. The winning photo -

"Smoke of Charcoal," submitted by Yavuz Sariyildiz of Turkey, a former banker -

received excellent exposure globally: it was displayed by PR Newswire in New

York City's Times Square, featured in two Turkish newspapers, and included in a

gallery on BBC Vietnam's website.

    Many prizes will be issued in 2013, including a grand, second, and third

prize. Be sure to vote for your favorite photos online to help determine the

People's Choice winner.
