【ティラトカルメル（イスラエル）2013年11月11日 PRN＝共同JBN】MRI誘導収束超音波療法のリーダー、InSightec Ltd （http://www.insightec.com）はロバート・シガル氏（Robert Sigal MD、PhD）を社長兼最高営業責任者（CCO）に就任させる人事を発表した。就任は2013年11月13日付。InSightec の営業全般を担当し、創業者兼最高経営責任者（CEO）のコビ・ボルトマン氏（Dr. Kobi Vortman）に報告する。

シガル氏はパリのCochin Medical Schoolから医師資格（MD）を取得、リール大学神経解剖学で医学博士号（PhD）を取った。医学分野で30年間の医師としての幅広い経験があり、医学管理者や医学機器市場でビジネスリーダーでもあった。

シガル氏の前職はGE Healthcareで、最近までGE Healthcare フランスのゼネラルディレクターを務めていた。GE Healthcare フランスのビジネス全体を統括する役職で、年間売上高が4億ドルを上回る業績を上げていた。医学関連業務についていた時にはフランス最大の包括的がんセンターであるInstitute Gustave Roussy （IGR）で放射線学の主任やIGR のエクゼクティブ・メディカル・ディレクターを務めていた。

「ロバート氏の他に例がない経歴は、まず幅広い医学部門での経験と医療機器分野でのリーダーシップを結び付けたことだ。それはInSightecにとって特別の意味を持っている」とコビ・ボルトマン氏は語る。「ロバート氏の臨床知識、特に腫瘍学と神経放射線医学はわれわれの能力を目覚ましく強化することになり、新しい市場と地域への突破口を開くとともに、別の医学分野への進出拡大を示すだろう」

Robert Sigal Joins InSightec as President and Chief Commercial Officer

    InSightec (http://www.insightec.com) Ltd, the leader in MRI guided Focused

Ultrasound therapy, announced that Robert Sigal, MD, PhD, will be joining

InSightec as President and Chief Commercial Officer as of November 13, 2013. He

will be responsible for all the commercial aspects of InSightec reporting to

Dr. Kobi Vortman, CEO and Founder of InSightec Ltd.

    Robert, who holds an MD from Cochin Medical School, Paris, and PhD in

Neuro-anatomy from Lille University, has over 30 years of broad experience in

the medical field as a physician, and medical director as well as business

leader in the medical equipment marketplace.

    Robert joins InSightec from GE Healthcare where he served most recently as

the General Manager of GE Healthcare France, a business unit responsible for

all GE healthcare business in France with annual sales of over $400 million.

During his medical career he served as the chairman of radiology at Institute

Gustave Roussy (IGR), the largest comprehensive cancer center in France and the

Executive Medical Director of IGR.

    "Robert's unique background combines firsthand extensive medical experience

as well as business leadership in the field of medical equipment which is of

particular significance for InSightec," said Kobi Vortman. "Robert's clinical

knowledge especially in oncology and neuroradiology will significantly

strengthen our ability to penetrate into new markets and geographies as well as

expand into additional medical indications."
