怒涛のWTCC最終戦 マカオグランプリ

香港 (2013年12月2日) - 中国マカオで開催された2013年FIA世界ツーリングカー選手権（WTCC）最終戦は記念すべきレースとなりました。インターラッシュとZENRISEがスポンサーを務めるドライバー、ジェームズ・ナッシュとアレックス・マクドウェル両選手（バンブーエンジニアリング所属）は華々しい功績を挙げ、表彰台に押し寄せた海外マスコミの注目を浴びました。アクシデント多発の波乱なレースをくぐり抜けて栄光に輝いた両選手は各々トロフィーをしっかりと握りしめながら、シャンパンファイトで勝利を祝いました。

2013年11月17日、直線状の高速セクションや起伏の激しい隘路、急なカーブで構成されているギア・サーキットはドライビング・スキルの高さを問われる市街地コースです。世界の強豪ドライバーたちが一堂に会し、レースの火ぶたが切られると間もなくクラッシュが発生。数百万人にのぼる観戦者の目前で後続の車を次々と巻き込んだ多重クラッシュ、その直後にも別のクラッシュが発生し、ギア・サーキットを走る難度の高さを示しました。幸い負傷者は無く、レースが再開されるやナッシュとマクドウェルは、隙あらば先行車にプレッシャーをかけて上位へと食い込むアグレッシブな走りを展開。インターラッシュTシャツに身を包んでZENRISEの旗を手にはためかせるファンたちは、両選手の果敢な姿勢に上海戦同様の熱い声援を送りました。

James Nash and Alex MacDowall Race to Victory in ZENRISE Cars at Dramatic WTCC Finale at Macau, China!

The last race of the popular 2013 FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC)

held in Macau, China, was a weekend to remember, as international media swarmed

the podium to capture Interush and ZENRISE sponsored Bamboo Engineering Team

drivers, James Nash and Alex MacDowall, celebrate victory. Nash and MacDowall

each popped champagne and clinched their trophies which was hard-earned during

a crash-filled race.

The world's top race drivers skillfully tackled Circuito da Guia in Macau known

for having one of the most difficult layout featuring tight turns, long

straights and altitude variation, on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Millions of

race fans saw the magnitude of the circuit complexity as they watched several

cars get caught in a massive pile-up immediately after the first start followed

by another one soon after. All drivers escaped injury and both Nash and

MacDowall emerged and continued to seize every opportunity to get to the front

as they were cheered on by a group of Interush Affiliate fans who also showed

their support in Shanghai wearing Interush shirts and waving ZENRISE flags.

James Nash, who became the first British WTCC Independent title winner,

commented, "Seeing the Zenrise fans in Macau really boosted my performance

again.  It gave me the extra energy and boost I needed to seal the

Independent's Title as well as 3rd in the WTCC World Drivers' Championship."

Alex MacDowall who claimed class Vice-Champion for the Yokohama Driver Award

stated, "Big thanks again to Zenrise and their supporters in Macau.  They

really helped me come through under extreme pressure to take race one Indy

pole, race one Indy fastest lap, race one Indy win and to run top five in both

races."
