BルートはスマートメーターとHEMS(宅内エネルギー管理システム)の間の通信をサポートする。

TOKYO, Feb. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
-- Smart Meter Communications module achieves certification.
The Wi-SUN(R) Alliance, a global ecosystem of organizations creating
interoperable wireless solutions for use in energy management and smart-utility
network applications, today announced the first Wi-SUN Alliance certified
product supporting the ECHONET Lite Profile. NEC and TOSHIBA jointly completed
testing of a smart meter communications module to achieve Wi-SUN ECHONET
Profile certification according to the Alliance's recently announced Global
Certification Program. NEC and Toshiba have been collaborating to provide the
communications module to support the Route B interface as defined by Wi-SUN
Alliance ECHONET Working Group and adopted by Tokyo Electronic Power Company
(TEPCO). The Route B supports a communication between a smart meter and HEMS
(Home Energy Management System.)

complete the test program. We expect more certified products from other member
companies to follow soon," he added.
"The Wi-SUN ECHONET Profile is the most interoperable, reliable and scalable
low power wireless standard for Route B and Home Area Networks that adopt
ECHONET Lite based application," said Hiroshi Harada, NICT, Wi-SUN Alliance
board co-chair and chair of the ECHONET WG. "The Wi-SUN ECHONET Profile will be
implemented to HEMS and home appliances and as well as Route B and provide a
complete solution for Home Area Networks."
