"Heaven Knows What" Won Tokyo Grand Prix of 27th Tokyo International Film Festival
The 27th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) at Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, Japan from October 23 to 31, has successfully concluded.
This year, TIFF screened around 200 films and over 44,700 film fans attended the screenings. The Tokyo Grand Prix was awarded to "Heaven Knows What," directed by Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie. For the all section's award winners, please see below.

Also, the multi-content market "Japan Content Showcase 2014" (JCS) at the Hotel Grand Pacific LE DAIBA, Tokyo Japan from October 21 to 23, has successfully ended.
331 exhibitor organizations from 25 countries and regions, and 1,160 buyers from 39 countries and regions, JCS achieved a significant increase in exhibitors and buyers for an all-time high in our history as it welcomed.
Joined by more than 18,000 participants, Three days of the JCS was filled up with business meetings, seminars, pitching sessions, showcase lives and networking parties. The JCS wrapped up with the opening reception of 27th Tokyo International Film Festival and live performance event "JAPAN NIGHT" that featured Japanese top artists.
As a special feature, leading Japanese broadcasting networks and their affiliates set up large-scale TV network pavilions in an attempt to create vibrant environment for business by bringing the shooting sets from their TV programs into their own exhibition zones. It seems to have benefited to make their businesses more than active.
From the globe, the JCS welcomed the National Pavilions from Cambodia, Canada, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand and first-time exhibitors from Colombia, Ivory Coast and Estonia.
Japan Content Showcase2015 is scheduled to be held at the end of October 2015 in Tokyo.
