GlobalLogicは3月30日、スミット・スード（Sumit Sood）氏がインド担当マネジングディレクターとして同社に入社したと発表した。スード氏はシャシャンク・サマント（Shashank Samant）最高経営責任者（CEO）に直属する。スード氏はインドセンターの業務の全てを管理、監督する役割を担う。本拠は GlobalLogicのノイダ事務所に置く。

スード氏は18年を超えるプロダクツエンジニアリング、うち14年はグローバルなITサービス企業であるVirtusaで培った経験をGlobalLogic社にもたらすことになる。元アウトソーシング・構造改革サービス担当上席副社長として、スード氏はフォーチュン100社にランキングされている銀行や情報通信関連などさまざまな業種の企業と密接な共同作業を進めてきた。中東地域やアジア太平洋地域で顧客サービスビジネスを拡大することに成功し、欧州でも同社の銀行・保険業界向け事業を確立することに貢献した。スード氏はパンジャブ大学でコンピューターサイエンス工学士の学位を取得、大学卒業後にXLRI Jamushedpurからビジネスマネジメント（ファイナンス）の学位を得ている。

GlobalLogic Expands Leadership Team with Hire of Sumit Sood

   -- Global Engineering Executive Joins as Managing Director of India

   GlobalLogic today announced that Sumit Sood has joined the company as

managing director of India, reporting to CEO Shashank Samant. In his role, Sood

will manage and oversee all of the India center operations, and will be based

in GlobalLogic's Noida offices.

   Sood brings over 18 years of experience in product engineering, and has

spent the past 14 years at Virtusa, a global IT services company. As the former

SVP of Outsourcing & Transformation Services, he worked closely with various

Fortune 100 banks and telecom companies. Sood successfully expanded the

company's client services business in the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions,

and also helped establish European operations for the company's banking and

insurance verticals. Sood has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in computer

science from Punjab University and a postgraduate diploma in business

management (finance) from XLRI Jamshedpur.
