世界最大の上海ヘルスケア展示会「tHIS」に記録的な参加者

新たに上海に建設された国家会展中心（National Convention & Exhibition Center）で開催された同サミットは中国医療機器・製薬関連の3大展示会である「CMEF（中国国際医療機器博覧会）」「PHARMCHINA（全国薬品交易会）」および「API China（中国国際医薬原料薬、中間体、包装、設備交易会）」を1つに束ねた大規模なヘルスケア・イベントで、健康業界バリューチェーンの全参加者が一堂に会するものとなった

同サミットでは29万平方メートルの展示スペースに、6800を超える出展者が最新の最先端医療機器・装置製造ソリューション、医薬製剤・原料、生産技術、自然健康・栄養製品を展示した。

GE、シーメンス、フィリップス、Mindray、United Imagingなど有名健康機器大手は特設スタンドを使って何百もの新規市場参入商品の発表を行ったが、相次ぐ新製品発表の中にはGE HealthcareのRevolution CTイメージングシリーズ、Mindrayのフレキシブル利用が可能なポイント・オブ・ケア超音波システム「mobiEye 700」、ContextVisionの「GOPICE 2.0」画像ソフトウエアなどが含まれていた。GEの世界市場担当上級副社長でGE中国社長兼最高経営責任者（CEO）のレイチェル・ダン氏はこのイベントの成功について「このプラットホームは医療・健康機器メーカーから高く評価されており、各社とも最新で最高の技術を展示している。業界の大手企業はすべて参加しており、業界トップも皆、顔をそろえている。このイベントの爆発的な人気はそこにある」と述べた。

中国国内の大手薬品メーカーおよび販売会社も多数の参加者の大きな関心の一つはAPI（医薬品有効成分）および薬剤製法になることを予想しており、何万人にもおよぶ内外のバイヤーを歓迎する準備もできている。その一方、「Natural Health and Nutrition China」に代表されるように自然健康・栄養製品などの高成長市場分野に対する参入は倍増しており、医療機器製造関連の展示会である「ICMD（International Component Manufacturing & Designs）」の出展者数は300%という前例のない高い伸びを示している。

サミットの主催はイベント主催で世界大手のリード・エグジビションと中国国有医療グループ、Sinopharm（シノファーム）の合弁企業であるReed Sinopharm（リード・シノファーム）が行った。同社は両パートナーが持つ国際ネットワークや業界とのつながりを生かし、今まで地域業界にすぎなかった中国のヘルスケア業界を成熟しつつある国際市場へと発展させ、業界に新たな1ページを開いた。

中国政府発行の2013年国家戦略白書によれば、中国のヘルス分野は2020年までに市場規模が3倍に増え、1.2兆米ドルの巨大市場になると予測している。中国のこの潜在成長力の一因は人口の老化であるとされ、高齢者は2050年までに人口の30%になると予測されている。これに都市化の進展および一人っ子政策のさらなる緩和によっておきる出生率の上昇ブームが相まって、現在の健康システムおよび病院施設は重圧にさらされることが予測されている。

さらに、新たなトップレベルの投資フォーラムであるHealthcare Chinaは、China Integrated Medical Imaging Summit、Asian Nuclear Medicine Academic ForumおよびSino-Europe Pharmaceutical Forumを含む主要カンファレンスとすべての主要分野および業界のテーマをカバーする展示会とカンファレンスが融合した107の壮大なリストからなるカンファレンスを率いる。

The 2015 Health Industry Summit (tHIS), an event that is predicted to transform

is a large-scale healthcare event that combines China's three top medical
