毎年恒例のハッジ巡礼（Hajj pilgrimage)で、イスラム教発祥のアラビア半島中心部に数百万人が集合。

今年、王国はあらゆる文化、世界各地から多数の女性を含む235万人以上の人々を迎えました。

この巡礼の基本理念は性の平等であり、何百万人もの女性がハッジを行いましたが、今年は女性の巡礼が男性とほぼ同数となっています。
