急成長する旅行予約プラットフォーム、TRVLが日本上陸

TRVLの最高経営責任者（CEO）はアーサー・ホフマン氏で、同氏は10年前に日本でExpediaの事業を立ち上げた。ホフマン氏は「Expediaを設立してから10年経ち、日本でTRVLを立ち上げることができて非常にわくわくしている。日本は旅行好きな国で、イノベーションと新しいテクノロジーを受け入れる可能性が高い」と述べる。

http://TRVL.com は予約があるたび旅行者に手数料を支払っている。この手数料は、通常旅行代理店にのみ支払われるものである。ホフマン氏は「旅行者は全ての作業を自分で行っているのだから、彼らは受けていないサービスに対してお金を支払う必要はないだろう」と語る。

TRVLは昨年6月に開始され、ベータテスト段階を終えるところだ。200万以上のホテルやホームステイ先へのアクセスを提供し、117カ国にユーザーを持ち、13の通貨での支払いをサポートする。急速にグローバル・プレーヤーになるため、TRVLは今まで資金として370万米ドルを受け取った。

日本市場に参入するため、TRVLは日本円をサポートし、ローカルのカスタマーサービスを提供し、トラフィックの増加に対応するために追加のサーバー・キャパシティを確保した。

The fast growing peer-to-peer travel booking platform http://TRVL.com is

launching in Japan. TRVL is acting like a modern day Robin Hood by paying

travelers a commission on every booking they make.

CEO of TRVL is Arthur Hoffman, who set up business in Japan for Expedia 10

years ago.

payments in 13 currencies. TRVL has received US$ 3.7 million in funding to-date

to become a global player quickly.

To enter the Japanese market TRVL supports the Yen (JPY), offers local customer

service and secured extra server capacity to deal with increase in traffic.

best deal. Once you book a hotel, TRVL receives a commission and passes the

lion-share of it on to you. On your dashboard you can keep track of outstanding

65%, normally only available to professional travel agents.
