世界的な完全総合保健事業者であるSotera Health LLCは7日、BWX Technologies, Inc.（BWXT）に対するNordion事業の医療用アイソトープ部門売却が完了したと発表した。
この売却に伴い、オンタリオ州カナタの放射線化学・契約製造事業とブリティッシュコロンビア州バンクーバーのアイソトープ生産施設を含むNordionの旧医療用アイソトープ事業はBWXTに所属し、約150人の従業員が移籍した。Nordionはガンマ線技術事業とカナタの最先端認可施設の所有権を維持する。両社は別個に、BWXTがNordionのカナタ施設で事業を継続できる長期リース契約も結んだ。

company-wide commitment to Safeguarding Global Health(TM)
Sotera Health LLC, the world's leading, fully integrated protector of global
health, today announced the closing of the sale of the Medical Isotopes segment
within its Nordion business to BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT).
With the sale, BWXT now owns Nordion's former medical isotopes business,
including the radiochemical and contract manufacturing operations in Kanata,
Ontario, and the isotope production facility in Vancouver, British Columbia,
along with transfer of approximately 150 employees. Nordion retains ownership
of its gamma technologies business as well as its state-of-the-art licenced
facility in Kanata. Separately, the companies also signed a long-term lease
agreement that will allow BWXT to continue operating from Nordion's Kanata
facility.

technologies, especially in the exciting new therapeutic applications that are
