国際ドローン・レーシング・グランプリが中国南西部の重慶で開幕

【重慶（中国）2018年8月23日PR Newswire=共同通信JBN】世界で最も影響力のあるドローン・レーシング・イベントの1つであるInternational Drone Racing Grand Prix（国際ドローン・レーシング・グランプリ、IDRGP）は、8月23日から25日まで中国南西部の重慶市で初めて開催されている。

2018 Smart China Expo（SCE）の期間中に開催されているこの競技会には、主にクロッシングドローンの別名でも知られるレース用ドローンが参加する。安定性と安全性に重点を置く一般的なカメラドローンと異なり、レース用ドローンは通常、より小型・軽量で速度と柔軟性に重点を置いており、最高速度は時速140キロメートルから160キロメートルである。

Geek Park（極客公園）のチェン・シャオティン氏は「われわれは既に参加者のためにVRヘッドセットを準備し、それを一人称視点から体験できるようにした。国際的なイベントとして、このレースは中国の若者の間で人気を拡大し、UAVスポーツ産業の発展を促進するだろう」と語った。

このイベントには、中国、ドイツ、タイ、シンガポール、カナダ、オーストリアの6カ国からトップクラスの出場者が集まった。

同イベントは、重慶市政府、科学技術部（省）、工業情報化部（省）、中国科学院、中国工程院、中国科学技術協会が主催し、新華社の子会社である重慶経済・情報化委員会と重慶市巴南区人民政府が企画し、中国経済情報サービス重慶センターが共同企画し、Beijing Legends Geek Management Consulting Co., Ltd.が運営し、Shenzhen Yuyu Culture Communication Co., Ltd.が後援している。

International Drone Racing Grand Prix Kicks Off in Southwest China's Chongqing

International Drone Racing Grand Prix (IDRGP), one of the most influential

drone racing events in the world, is taking place in southwest China's

Chongqing Municipality for the first time from August 23 to 25.

The competition, which is being held during the 2018 Smart China Expo (SCE),

mainly involves racing drones, also known as crossing drones. Unlike the common

camera drones that focus on stability and safety, racing drones usually are

smaller and lighter and focus on speed and flexibility, with a maximum speed of

140km/h to 160km/h.

"We have already prepared VR headsets for the attendees who are able to

experience it from a first-person perspective," said Zheng Xiaoting from Geek

Park. "As an international event, the race will expand popularity among Chinese

young people and boost the development of the UAV sports industry."

The event has attracted top-class contestants from six countries: China,

Germany, Thailand, Singapore, Canada and Austria.

It is hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Government, Ministry of Science and

Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chinese Academy of

Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering and China Association of Science and

Technology; organized by Chongqing Economic and Information Technology

Commission, a subsidiary of Xinhua, and the People's Government of Banan

District in Chongqing; co-organized by Chongqing Center of China Economic

Information Service; executed by Beijing Legends Geek Management Consulting

Co., Ltd.; and supported by Shenzhen Yuyu Culture Communication Co., Ltd.
