ファーウェイとアウディがL4自動運転の共同開発を発表

【上海2018年10月11日PR Newswire＝共同通信JBN】ファーウェイ（Huawei、華為技術）は11日のHUAWEI CONNECT 2018で、ファーウェイとアウディがインテリジェントなコネクテッドビークル（ICV）分野における提携の将来計画を示し、新しいAudi Q7を使ってこの最先端テクノロジーを実証する。

Audi China R&Dのサード・メッツ執行副社長はドイツ自動車メーカーの計画について「われわれは高度に自動化された運転機能と未来志向のビークル・ツー・インフラストラクチャー通信の共同開発を評価する。アウディは世界中で開催された多数のイベントで、高度な自動運転の分野でテクノロジーリーダーの1つであることを実証してきた。われわれは将来、ファーウェイとの提携をさらに強化することを期待している。なぜなら、われわれは両社関係の緊密化は双方に大きな恩恵をもたらすと確信しているからである」と語った。ファーウェイのウィリアム・スー取締役兼最高戦略マーケティング責任者は「自動車がスマートになるにつれ、われわれは世界で最も成功を収めたプレミアムカーブランドの1つであるアウディとともに、われわれの優れたテクノロジーを最大限に活用し、自動運転を加速する。極めて近い将来、顧客はよりセキュアで快適、かつ便利でインテリジェントな自動運転サービスを満喫することになる」と語った。

ファーウェイのMobile Data Center（MDC）は、都市部の自動運転環境のためにAudi Q7と統合される。プロトタイプはHUAWEI CONNECT 2018で一般公開された。

これに先立つ7月10日、ファーウェイとアウディはベルリンで、インテリジェントなコネクテッドビークルを共同開発する戦略提携に関する了解覚書に調印した。今回、この提携は双方の戦略全般において一段と進展したものである。

HUAWEI CONNECT 2018 - "Activate Intelligence" –は10月10日から12日まで、Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center and Expo Centerで開催される。

Huawei and Audi Announce Joint Innovation in L4 Automatic Driving

At HUAWEI CONNECT 2018, today Huawei and Audi show their future plans of a

cooperation in the field of intelligent connected vehicles (ICV), featuring the

new Audi Q7 as a demonstration of this state-of-the-art technology.

Executive Vice President of Audi China R&D Saad Metz commented on the German

automobile manufacturer's plans that "we evaluate a joint development of highly

automated driving functions and future oriented vehicle-2-infrastructure

Huawei's Mobile Data Center (MDC) is integrated into the Audi Q7 for urban

automatic driving environments. The prototype was showcased to the public

during HUAWEI CONNECT 2018.

Earlier, on July 10th, 2018, Huawei and Audi signed a memorandum of

understanding on strategic cooperation in Berlin to jointly develop intelligent

connected vehicles. This time, their collaboration is further progress in

overall strategy between the two parties.
