Nexteer Automotiveは29日、インドのチェンナイに新しい生産施設を華々しくオープンしたと発表した。チェンナイはベンガルールとプネーに続くNexteerの3番目の製造工場として、また同社のグローバルな製造フットプリントとして26番目の工場になる。

同社は、新工場が2019年末までにチェンナイで150の雇用機会を提供すると見込んでいる。

Nexteer Indiaのマダブ・クルカルニ・マネジングディレクターは「チェンナイ工場はNexteer Automotiveの完全子会社で、8336平方メートルの面積を有する。この戦略的な製造フットプリントの拡大により、Nexteerの高品質でセーフティークリティカルなElectric Power Steering （電動パワーステアリング、EPS）とドライブライン製品をインドに届けるとともに、顧客に迅速で即応性の高い、より良いサービスを提供することができる」と述べた。

A Strategic Footprint Expansion to Provide High Quality Products and Responsive

Nexteer Automotive today announces the grand opening of a new production

facility in Chennai, India. Chennai takes its place as Nexteer's third

manufacturing plant in India - joining plants in Bengaluru and Pune - and as

the 26th plant within the company's global manufacturing footprint.

The company anticipates that the new plant will provide 150 job opportunities

in Chennai by the end of 2019.
