中国陸上競技連盟、陝西省スポーツ局と西安市人民政府が共催するイベントは1万8000人のマラソンランナー、8000人のハーフマラソン競争者と4000人のファンランナーを迎え入れる。米国、シンガポール、日本、イタリア、カナダなど30以上の国々から12万人のランナーが登録しており、これは前年比50.4%増加した。

Yangoマラソン委員会の副事務局長兼西安市副市長のシャオアン・チアン氏は「こんなに大勢のランナーがこの素晴らしいイベントに参加するために西安に集まっているのを見てわくわくしている。中国で最も人気のあるマラソン競技の一つとして、われわれは2018年に30カ国・地域から3万人を迎えた。この機会を利用し、われわれは文化とスポーツの交流を通して、西安市を訪問客と世界に紹介したい」と述べた。

タイのバンコクマラソン組織委員会と連携を築いているこのイベントはタイから10人のランナーを迎え入れる。また、西安マラソンの参加者はバンコクマラソンへの直接の出場資格を得るチャンスがある。

3年目を迎えるイベントは競走者を歴史的な観光名所と現代の景観の組み合わせで楽しませる。フルマラソンランナーは古代西安の南門である永寧門をスタートし、鐘楼、大雁塔、西安交通大学などの名所を通り過ぎ、大明宮国立遺跡公園でゴールインする。

Xi'an Yango International Marathonはまた5Gテクノロジーを初めて利用する大会でもある。イベントは競技の間中、インテリジェントロボットガイダンス、拡張現実（AR）メダル、5Gクラウドカメラや仮想現実（VR）を活用したライブ中継ソリューションを採用する。

年間通しての大学周辺のハーフマラソン、秦嶺（山脈）のオフロードチャレンジや都市ランニングイベントを含む一連の周辺競技によりスポーツの認知度はさらに高められるだろう。

Consisting of a full marathon, a half marathon, and a 7km race, Xi'an Yango

International Marathon (The event) will begin at 7:30, October 20, 2019. The

event will establish an interactive platform for both professionals and city

residents to enhance their physical health and raise awareness of sport across

the city.

Co-organized by the China Athletics Association, Shaanxi Provincial Sports

Bureau and Xi'an Municipal People's Government, the event will host 18,000

marathon runners, 8,000 half marathon competitors and 4,000 fun runners. More

than 120 thousand competitors from 30 countries, including the U.S, Singapore,

Japan, Italy and Canada, have registered, seeing a 50.4 percent year-on-year

growth.

"We are thrilled to see so many runners gathering at Xi'an to join this

fantastic event," said Xiao'an Qiang, Deputy Executive Secretary-General of

Yango Marathon Committee and Deputy Mayor of Xi'an, "As one of the most popular

marathon competitions in China, we have welcomed 30,000 runners from 30

countries and regions in 2018. Taking this opportunity, we would like to

introduce the city of Xi'an to visitors and the world, through the exchange of

culture and sports."

Establishing a partnership with the Thailand Bangkok Marathon Organizing

Committee, The event will welcome ten runners from Thailand. Also, participants

of the Xi'an marathon have the opportunity to get a direct entry qualification

to the Bangkok Marathon.

Now in its third year, the event will entertain its competitors with a

combination of historical tourist destinations and modern landscapes. Full

marathon runners will start at Yong Nong Gate, the south gate of the ancient

Xi'an city, and will pass views such as the Bell Tower, the Big Wild Goose

Pagoda and Xi'an Jiaotong University, before reaching the finishing line at

Daming Palace National Heritage Park.

The Xi'an Yango International Marathon is also the first to use 5G technology.

The event applies intelligent robot guidance, augmented reality (AR) medals, 5G

cloud camera and live broadcast solution using virtual reality (VR) through the

competition.

The awareness of the sport will be raised further by a series of satellite

competitions, including a half marathon around universities, an off-road

challenge in Qinling and city running events throughout the year.
