中華人民共和国、韓国、日本による第8回3カ国首脳会談は東アジア経済と世界経済の繁栄と安定にとり極めて重要である。

成都は、中国の「一帯一路構想」と長江経済ベルトの重要な合流点である。ニューエコノミーの発展を提案した中国の先駆的な都市として、成都のGDP成長率は2017年から11四半期連続で8%を超え、ニューエコノミー企業の数は年平均5万社増えて35万社に達し、6社がユニコーン標準を、67社が準ユニコーン標準をそれぞれ満たした。ニューエコノミー企業の年間資金調達額は、40億元から170億元に3倍以上に増加した。成都は「ニューエコノミー発展に最も適した都市」になり、そのニューエコノミー活力指数は中国で3位にランクされている。
